Re: [BlindHandyMan] Nail gun options
I got a good deal on an air compressor several years. I don't remember the brand name but Home Depot was selling a 22 gallon air compressor with 6 air tools for $199. It came with a 30 foot hose but if you needed longer just buy another hose. That offer was so popular with in 6 months it went up to 299 and the following year 399 and as I understand it, it's now up to 499 but people are still buying it. And to think when I started looking for an air compressor all I wanted was one of those 5 gallon cheap things. In the end, I'm very glad I went with what I did. My wife uses it to put air in her tires and says she hates having to feed quarters into the machine at the filling station. We have air shocks on our motor home and the compressor comes in really handy. I've got a long extension wand for blowing leaves and crap off the driveway and the air rentch is fantastic when changing tires. I've never tried the paint sprayer figuring with my luck, I'd wind up painting myself. The albums in Technics format formerly on my website are still available upon request. - Original Message - From: Bob Kennedy inthes...@att.net To: blindhandyman@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, June 17, 2010 5:26 PM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] Nail gun options Most nails come in strips with one on top of the other. The finish nailer I sent earlier is a pretty good deal, and you can pick up a small compressor for around $100 to $150. These are light enough to carry and the motors are able to run on a 15 amp breaker without popping the breaker when it restarts. - Original Message - From: Alan Terrie Robbins To: blindhandyman@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, June 17, 2010 7:32 PM Subject: RE: [BlindHandyMan] Nail gun options Bob, For the little I would use it that would be too much but thanks for sharing. If you are going to use the gun sparingly, Harbor Freight might be a good place to look. If you are going to put it to hard use, get a good one. RJ [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Re: [BlindHandyMan] Nail gun options
I would not purchase the staple/nail combo gun. It is ok if you are only going to use staples. I know of one situation where some paneling was put up with one. The driver is 1/4 inch wide. The next day in the bright light my cousin was horrified. There was 1/4 inch indentations all over the paneling. Since it was a rental property he ripped it down and purchased a nail only gun and re paneled the room. - Original Message - From: Alan Terrie Robbins arobb...@nycap.rr.com To: blindhandyman@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, June 17, 2010 7:32 PM Subject: RE: [BlindHandyMan] Nail gun options Bob, For the little I would use it that would be too much but thanks for sharing.
