hi, sorry, i can't do traceback (process install fault ?) no ddb prompt... :( machine reboot systematically after kernel panic on install process just after creating device node and before question add special firmware ? i can reinstall 4096 MB ram (on my amd64 install) and wait bug back for ddb prompt, but i think evenement (i have started after panic with boot sd2a:/bsd) appeared only on install process... Miod vallat explain me on fr.comp.os.bsd to work with 3072 MB... waiting your instructions... thx a lot, and sorry for my bad english. best regards, Olivier Burelli. ami(4) in 5.0 doesn't work with bigmem. Try -current. dev/ic/ami.c: revision 1.221 date: 2011/10/05 06:41:30; author: dlg; state: Exp; lines: +58 -36 ami_drv_inq bus_dmamap_loads the inquiry buffer, so that buffer has to be under 4g now. this moves the inqbufs off the stack to dma_alloc/dma_free. reported by and fix tested by henning@ ok henning@ On 2011/11/25 07:02, Bob Beck wrote: Please get a full traceback for us.
