Re: [BVARC] N3FJP Settings for TXQP?

2023-09-15 Thread Roy Storey via BVARC
Chris, you don't "HAVE" to use the QSO parties software but they are
designed to have places for special exchange info to be recorded.
As an example: the TXQP software has a place on the screen to record your
contacts county. EXAMPLE: Fort Bend is FBEN.

On the N5FJP home page, at the top, you will find a dropdown tab labeled
"Contest Logs". With your cursor on the tab, you will see "State
Party Contest Logs." This is where you will find the "Texas QSO party Log"
that you can download.

For the best value I recommend that you purchase the complete package.
Details on FJP's home page.

Hope this helps,
Roy - W5TKZ

Thanks. The website says the arrl field day app is limited to 20 entries and
the ACL software is full version but limited to 45 days of use without
paying/registering.

I get that part. I looked thru all the menus and saw nothing that indicated
that I needed to configure anything for any particular contest.

Or besides the initial config of my own call and location details, is it ready

Wonder if we will ever get LiFePO4 batteries for cars….. at a reasonable
price. I think they have some desirable properties…. especially weight.

Best of luck to all of the TQP participants and wishes for good prop and
lots of activity. The safest of travels to the mobiles. Listen for
Sabine County (far east TX) on phone, a fairly rare one, but not this time,
