Yes! We were able to hear them from camp but didn't get a contact in,
we tried so hard xD

I don't have an arrow antenna but maybe in the future. Alas...

[BVARC] Youth On The Air Camp | Special Event Call & YouTube

Hello fellow BVARC members,

I will be heading up to Ohio as a Youth On The Air camper (
https://youthontheair.org/cincinnati-2022/) tomorrow and will be there
Sunday-Friday. I am the first attendee from Texas, to my knowledge. We will
be working HF stations, satellites, and operating EME during that time. I
don't think we have specific bands or frequencies that I know of as of now.

I have attached a flyer outlining when we'll be operating; we also may be
operating in the mornings (6:00-7:00 AM CDT) and evenings (9:30-10:30 PM
CDT). *We will be working the special event callsign W8Y
. *(I think QSL cards are available).

ALSO, the camp is livestreaming its opening and closing ceremonies as well
as releasing daily recap videos. *You can check out the channel here
.*

Email me if you end up making contact with someone from camp! I would love
to hear some familiar voices from home but I may not be the one operating
when you call.

[BVARC] QuestionAIR Net Today at 7 PM!

Just a quick reminder that the QuestionAIR Net has been moved to 7 PM this
Tuesday and all following Tuesdays to avoid conflict with some of the other
nets.

This net is run on the 146.940 repeater and I will be serving as Net

[BVARC] NEW NET TONIGHT!! 8 PM QuestionAIR Net!

Hello, fellow club members!

My name is Charlotte (KI5TRQ), and me and my friend Henry (K5HRP) are
starting a new net called the QuestionAIR Net, which will kick off tonight
at 8 PM!

This net will be hosted *every Tuesday at 8 PM, STARTING TONIGHT!!* on the
146.94 repeater (PL Tone 167.9, – shift). It is open to any and all hams in
the Greater Houston area.
The goal of the QuestionAIR net is to ask random and thought-provoking
questions, to get fun and laid-back conversations started among hams! The
first net will be hosted by Henry *TONIGHT* so don't forget!! Charlotte
will be hosting the following week.
We’re excited for this net and hope to hear you check in!
