Fixtures not working on last nightly builds?
Hi, I've tried several different nightly build versions (November/2008 versions) after RC3 and were unable to run test suites for my project. Looks like fixtures are not working properly and several tests drops due missing table issues. Have you experienced these problems with fixtures for the last month nightly build? It looks pretty stable except in this issue. Any idea in how to get a test suite working version beyond RC3? should I use the nightly builds?
I'm wondering what other people's experience might be who are using the nightly builds of Cakephp instead of the released version. By now, I would imagine that there are a lot fewer errors in the nightly builds than in the release dating from October 22, but maybe there is something about the process that I'm unaware of? --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Cake PHP group. Re: should I use the nightly builds?
I use nightly builds for couple projects, It needs more attention to updates and change logs, but gives you also more and more features... For last 3 months I didn't have any serious problems. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Cake PHP group. Re: should I use the nightly builds?
Good to hear. Last night I updated to the nightly build from the October release and found that my application continued working without much trouble at all. Re: Nightly builds?
We moved to a new server and there is an issue with the build script. We have to run it by hand right now, which we try to do on a regular basis. We are hoping to have the problem resolved shortly, but to be honest its not high on the priority list right now. Newbies should probably start with the stable code or at least a release before moving onto nightlies. If you are using the nightlies you should really consider just going all the way to svn anyway. Its much easier to stay up to date. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Cake PHP group. Re: Nightly builds?
Yeah, this is becoming a regular but unwanted feature. Basically, a hit and miss. I wonder what absolute newbies think when they opening up the zip/tar to find nothing but dead air! Not leaving a great impression. Nightly builds
Is this the correct url for downloading nightly builds? http://cakephp.org/downloads/index/nightly/1.2.x.x When I download the .gz file its only 1kb in size and when I extract it, it just an empty folder. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Cake PHP group.
