Re: Yet another site powered by Cakephp
Hi, my name is Gabriel, I did respond to your email on cake groups. As I said I am working on a similar site - for the UK market. I am using Bakesale as a basis which I edit. I know this is very bold of me to ask you this, but it would save me a lot of time if I could buy your code and edit it to my own needs. I don't want to offend you, but would you be willing to sell the code? After I am finished personalising and taking away and adding stuff to it, it would look very different to what you have now, but some of what you have I need to do too and it would save me much time if I don't have to do everything from scratch. I can also work on some ' modules' which you might be interested in to add to your website. Hope to hear from you soon. doh! anyone else think that was supposed to be sent offlist! jb -- jon bennett w: http://www.jben.net/ iChat (AIM): jbendotnet Skype: jon-bennett --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups CakePHP group. Hi, Congrats on your new site. One thing I've noticed: if I'm browsing through the categories, say Cell Phones, and there are no listings in the category, then it shows me a link that reads Get noticed. Be the first. When I click on it, it shows me a listing of categories to pick from. I was thinking it might be best if it automatically selects the category from where I clicked on the link (in this case, Cell Phones). You might also want to think about allowing multiple categories. If I'm selling a cell phone, I might want the phone to be in Electronics and Cell Phones. Re: Site powered by CakePHP
Probably a good idea to turn debug off. You're publically dumping queries, showing your database structure somewhat. Also, throw some visual validation error indicators on your forms, like the sign-in form etc. Your search screen button indicates results were found, but on clicking it, I was taken back to the search form, with no results matching my search criteria. Hope these points help. Good luck with it. On Oct 9, 6:58 am, dezpo [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hello bakers, Just wanted to show you what I have did in the past 2 months using cakephp.
