These packs looks stable.

(1) No exceptions at the startup
(2) No exceptions when user logs in
(3) No version mismatch in any of the jars
(4) No unnecessary jar duplication

Great jobs folks!.

Release Managers, please do a smoke test on your packs.

Shankar

I saw that, this was done to fix the build error. Hence, it should be fine.

These are to be treated as final packs for Carbon 3.2.2. Everyone please
help test these!

All commits are frozen, and we will adopt a patch model from now on, till
the code is unfrozen.

After is is unfrozen, 3.2.3 work will start, and all commits from there on
go to trunk & 3.2.3!

Thanks,

[Carbon-dev] Turmeric/WSO2 Meeting Minutes

2011-10-26 Thread David Carver

Attendees:
Senaka - WSO2
Rahnjanhi - WSO2
David Carver - Intalio

Did Not Attend:
Steve Fonseca
Sastry Malladi

Meeting Start Time: 2:30pm ET
Meeting End Time: 3:45pm ET

Status:

* WSO2 Governance Registry 4.1 -
  * WSDL/Schemas content has been fixed.
  * In the process of being Released. Based on maintenance version of
Carbon.
  * LifeCycle request by Manuel will require change to Registry Kernel,
and are not minor changes.

New Upcoming Features:
  * Configurable Governance Artifact
* OSGI extension
* Ability to describe via XML as a plugin.

Examples:
* WSO2 Governance LifeCycle using Atom/Remote API? WSO2 to provide
sample code.
* Common Attributes - list of common attribute names and their
functionality/expectations.

Mailing List - WSO2 will subcribe discussion regarding Turmeric specific
functionality and needs will occur there. Easier to keep track, and
they prefer email to forums.

ToDo:
* WSO2 to send source code urls for latest development
* Turmeric project will setup a build to build latest snapshots from
trunk at least nightly.
* WSO2 will look at having Mirror GitHub repositories for easier
collaboration and patches.

Testing
* MockCopy Embedded Registry - BaseTestCase.
** Part of the Registry Kernel.
** Dave to Review and see if Mocked Registry Service can be used for
TDD to help speed development.

* Dave to send some test cases that reproduce some deletion errors.

RoadMap:

* WSO2 and Turmeric to collaborate on future timed releases of the
provider. Need to corrdindate releases of RepositoryService Provider
and WSO2 Gov Registry.
* WSO2 and Turmeric to collaborate on possible inclusion of
RepositoryService as a native Service within the WSO2 Governance Registry

** Allows Turmeric would be integrated into WSO2 Governance Registry.
** AssertionService could talk directly to WSO2 Governance Registry
instead of having to have a provider.

** Standard Turmeric Client could be used to talk to the service.

It's unclear from the governance api documentation:

Re: [Carbon-dev] How to do service level logging in in ESB proxy services

2011-10-26 Thread Pradeep Fernando
Hi,

thanks Udayanga for the config. Even though this mechanism is working,
ideally I/we would like to have a solution where i get context sensitive
logs for all my proxy services, without having to edit my log4j.properties
file for each and every proxy deployment.

I should be able to configure once, and all my existing and future proxy
services should generate context sensitive logs.

Is it possible to modify existing mechanism (give by Udayanga) to do such
thing.

thanks,

Can RMs/PMs please check the list and confirm (many might be fixed or
can be downgraded - but don't want to miss out on any critical issue)? Not
all issues related to Stratos have been reported on the Stratos JIRA, and
your number of 4 is a highly simplified version of the current status.

Hi Dimuthu,

There are 20 plus L1s. Use the following JQL (Stratos JIRA issues == STRATOS

Hack is to comment out the reporting sections. Fix is to introduce a proper
release profile. We desperately need such, going forward with Maven3.

The registry kernel and other public APIs have good Javadocs, and if we
start commenting this out, people will stop maintaining those over time.
Similarly, we have other APIs in Carbon, we should be publishing these as
API docs. Its a very bad practice and a huge limitation to not do that.

Thanks,
Senaka.

Re: [Carbon-dev] Integration Tests fails in windows due to "Unable to start server" runtime error

2011-10-26 Thread Melan Nimesh
Hi,

I am able run core integration tests successfully on windows by modifying
ServerUtils.java and SimpleAxis2ServerManager.java at
org.wso2.carbon.integration.core

but it does not shutdown server after completing tests, it seems like
shutdown() @ ServerUtils.java does not work as as expected on windows, is
there any way to fix it?

My modifications are attached as patch file

Thanks
