For Rafael: For care2x_v2.5_RC1.zip, make sure the sql dump has the insert data. The mysql dump didn't have the insert data as part of the dump. Also, check that it connects to your db. If it doesn't connect, you will see blank page. We had to fix some of the code for it to connect. The RC1 And RC2 is quite buggy! If you need php4, you can download xamp from www.apachefriends.org. It enables you to switch between php4 and php5. I run ubuntu gusty and it has worked for me so far. Installing the older versions, just works. The first configuration I had was CentOS5 with php4 (it wasn' t easy to get php4 to work on CentOS) and Postgesql as the database. After several attempts I succeeded with the installation, but after I want to test the program all I get is a blank pages. There is no error message and the logs say nothing to me, I activated error report in php.ini, but no important information available. So I thought maybe there was a problem with the php4 rpm I use on CentOS. So I decided to go with Debian etch that still support php4. After installing the software I get the exact same problem, a blank page with no info. So I was reading the archives of this mailing list and someone resolve this problem using care2x RC1 instead of RC2, so I did the same thing with no success. This are the files wich I had try the installation: care2x_d22_full.tar.gz care2x_v2.5_RC1.zip I guess this something that happened to a lot of people before and some of you may have a solution. I have installed a lot of web application with linux, php and postges/mysql and haven' t had this problems. Is there a last release or just this RC? Here in Ecuador our president strongly supports Free (as freedom) Software and there is even a decrete that public institution must use Free Software. Minister of Health in my country is interesting in the modernistion of public hospitals and they want to interconnect information between hospitals. Care2x seems to do this, but first I need to installed to see how it really works. So please help me on this or if you can recomend me a similar software that is Free (freedom) Software. On RC2 I had a problem with a table on the optional Spanish packages. I
solve this using latin1 instead of utf8 on the database. I prefer utf8, but
latin1 works find at the moment.

I am working with rc2 at the moment. Is is connecting to the db, and I know
this because everytime I visit the blank page there is an insert made to
care_config_user table.
We start reading the code of index.php and found that we could have some
kind of debug enableing this variable:

I am working with postgres8 and I see that the log refer to postgres7. could
that be a problem? I can do a downgrade of the database on debian, so I
guess I would try that later.

Thanks a lot, I solve that problem using debian instead of centos. I preffer
to use the packages of the distribution becuase keeping the distro updated
is easy and it would keep php, apache and postgres updated without any
furder work.

I would, thaks a lot. Is there any irc for care2x where we can chat. It
could be really helpfull for people new to care2x as me and that whant to
