I would think not without the permission of the owner. That at least is the
policy of the PA Birds list serve.

[cayugabirds-l] Possible Hoary Redpoll?

2013-01-19 Thread Paul Anderson
Redpolls started showing up at my feeder this week. This morning I saw
one that looked and behaved quite differently than the others. I've
never seen a Hoary Redpoll, so I can't be sure, but this one seems to
have some of the hallmarks. Slightly larger, looks plumper, much paler.
He did not mix with the others at the frenzy at the feeder, but held
back on his own and lingered even when the others had gone.

I posted a photo on the facebook group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/cayugabirdclub/

I'd love to know what people think.

-Paul

[cayugabirds-l] Lapland Longspur

2013-01-19 Thread bluewing
Bill Howard and I relocated the Lapland Longspur that was reported yesterday by
Jeff Gerbracht. The bird was on Daisy Hollow Road this morning at the Cornell
Farms. We finally spotted the bird at 11:00 AM. The longspur was in with
dozens of Horned Larks and at least one Snow Bunting. As expected, the birds
were feeding in the manure spreads that run perpendicular to the road.

Patrick reported a Merlin in the area but we dipped on this species.

Good birding,

In my last message about Montezuma birds, I listed an address for my flickr

I will try again.

mmiller...@yahoo.com (It should read mmiller three-twenty-five at yahoo dot
