Re: [cayugabirds-l] Lots o cranes

2022-10-29 Thread Peter Saracino
Astrid we had over 100 sandhills on our survey yesterday (Friday) at Knox
Marcellus Marsh on the Montezuma Refuge near Seneca Falls, NY.
If past history is any indication, I expect still more to arrive before
they finally leave us for the winter. Last year's fall totals surpassed 300
birds!,
It is quite a sight to see such large congregations of these beautiful
creatures.
Good luck!! Hope you're successful in your search.

2022-10-29 Thread Astrid Jirka
Hi all.

Does anyone know if the Sandhill Cranes are still around and if so,
when and where is best to see them?

Cheers,
Astrid Jirka
