[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Volume 3 LAB 2: Gatekeeper CAC and BACD Section 14 + 42

2008-10-07 Thread Robert Schuknecht
Hi List,

i need some input to get the following scenario to work.

Scenario:

- CCME with BACD
- BACD should be reachable from PSTN and IP-Phones
- CCME is registered to a GK
- on GK i am only allowed to use 1 Zone
- GK should provide CAC for 6 G729 calls (96K Bandwidth)

And here is my Problem:

I have realized the GK CAC trough bandwidth total command, no problem. But
now i am not able to call the BACD, on CCME, from a CCME IP-Phone. This is
because i have to use an outgoing and an incoming VoIP Dial-Peer to reach the
BACD and these VoIP Dial-Peers send an ARQ, for 1 G711 Call. But in my zone i
have only 96K available and the GK sends an ARJ for the IP-Phone Call into BACD.

How am i able to implement CAC in the GK AND make the BACD reachable from CCME
IP-Phones?

Any help is appreciated.

/Robert

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] cRTP bandwidth per codec

2008-10-07 Thread Ryan Trauernicht
Any idea how much codec G711 and G729 uses per call when using cRTP. 4.1(3)
SRND shows that G729 uses 10kbps but that is without layer 2 FRF .12.
Don't really see a calculation on how they came up with that also.
Can anyone tell me either Cisco states how much a cRTP G729 call takes up
(including layer 2) and also a G711(including layer 2).

Thanks in advance!

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Mapping video traffice

2008-10-07 Thread Chris Kagadis (kagadis.com)
Hi,
I'm working on 23.38 (mapping video traffic to a DSCP of AF41). Should a
class-map VIDEO be needed in order to configure the policy-map statement?
This syntax seems to be missing in the most recent update, just wanted to
know in case I'm missing something.
