Hello,

There's no direct option to unlock/lock the phone's keypad in call manager
configuration, you may want to evaluate options like fac and extension mobility
to restrict phone access to some destinations/services,

The option under common device profile refers to a password to unlock admin
settings within the phone itself (for certain models),

2009-11-25 Thread Otto Sanchez
If h323, you must do it on the gw->controller configuration, ccm don't know
what kind of pots interface you have,

If mgcp, and using the gw command ccm-manager config, you should use the
service parameter. If manually configuring your mgcp gw, it's easier you
configure your active channels in the ios controller configuration,

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CUCM7 and DNS

2009-11-25 Thread Otto Sanchez
Hello,

The delete dns cli command will remove the call manager reliance of dns
servers to resolve names to ip addresses, so dns resolution will not be
used,

About the rtmt have you tried using ip address instead cucm server's name?,
your client seems to be complaining because it doesn't know who the
cucm01.xyz.com server is, it might not be manually defined in your client's
dns server,

Is that a new installation, upgrade?, is there any other node having the
same issue?, if an upgrade have you installed the cucm7 software feature
license? do you have enough node licenses?,

Thanks,

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] CUCM7 and DNS

2009-11-25 Thread svr.f...@gmail.com
Hi,

I have a question regarding CUCM 7 and DNS.

The CUCM 7 servers were configured with DNS, although within the GUI the
server names have already been changed from hostnames to IP addresses.

CLI Output:
DNS
Primary : 1.1.1.1 Secondary : 1.1.1.2
Options : timeout:6 attempts:3
Domain : xyz.com
Gateway : 1.1.1.254 on Ethernet 0

This was identified when we notice the CallManager service was not running,
when we manually started the CallManager service, after about 5 minutes the
service would stop. To troubleshoot this further we started RTMT and ran the
Real Time Trace > View Real Time Data report, but noticed an error when
trying to run it. RTMT's error said "Could not connect to 'Server :
cucm01.xyz.com'."

My assumption is that the CallManager service is also failing due to not
being able to connect to the DNS server.

Will the delete dns command remove the DNS reliance on CUCM servers? Is
there another way to remove DNS reliance on the CUCM servers?

Thanks

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CME QUESTION

2009-11-25 Thread Pulos, Greg
I think a more accurate answer to the questions are as follows:

1) NOSRST does not come as a licensed IOS feature by default. You will have
to obtain the SRST license to be legal.

2) YES...if you do extract a CME tar file to the flash on your router, you
should be able to see the files with 'dir flash:'.

Thank you.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CME QUESTION

2009-11-25 Thread Wilson Bolanos
Some of my personal notes are below. Might answer a few of your questions:

Make sure you have more than 64 MB of Compact flash. On my 2821 I have 512 MB,
yes a 2821 can handle more than 256 MB compact flash so disregard documentation
on that. I have a SiliconDrive CF 512 MB compact flash Silicon Systems brand.
The reason you need more space is due to the extra CME files. Yes, I know TAC
might not support it, but I needed something cheap and it was free.
Go to Cisco.com Tools and resources search cme-full or cme-full-7.0.0.1 and
download it. I downloaded cme-full-7.0.0.1.tar file.
Upgrade IOS to below cause it has gatekeeper capabilities as well.
Download IOS image below cause your router will probably come with something
different.
c2800nm-adventerprisek9_ivs_li-mz.124-22.T.bin
Archive tar /xtract tftp://192.168.0.92/cme-full-7.0.0.1.tar flash:
Below are some of my notes just to get me started so they probably will not
make sense to most, but it might get you started.

Have you configured the Contact Service Queue "sales" in the uccx admin
page->subsystems->rmcm->csq ? It is case sensitive

I running through vol 1 lab 12.2.
I¹ve created the script just as the PG example. When I dial into the CTI
port 5710 for icd calls from ³617² work fine however when the call goes to
the queue I receive the lovely Cisco Voice saying we are experiencing
technical difficulties, When running through the Script Debug it bombs on
the Select Resource Trigger from CSQ stating that ³Failed to load CSQ
because CSQ: sales is invalid² Anyone know what I should look for, Thanks
