Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CME Music On Hold from FLASH Issues

2010-04-26 Thread CCIETalk.com
Here is my output for that

Max Conferences 8 with 0 active (8 allowed)
Skinny Music On Hold Status
Active MOH clients 0 (max 320), Media Clients 0, B-ACD Clients 0
File music-on-hold.au type AU Media_Payload_G711Ulaw64k 160 bytes
Moh multicast on 239.1.1.1 port 16384 via 10.10.201.1
via 10.10.110.2

Even though I can hear the Piano Music aka from flash I don't see anything
here. Does this mean its playing unicast moh?

Thanks Amy!

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CME Music On Hold from FLASH Issues

OK I have been labbing this up for a while and am confused. I got the
 music
on hold to work from the flash since my router is playing the piano
 music
  but here is the issue

I HAVE MY HOME LAB SO NO ISSUE WITH PL IPSEC. Tired of those answers

  1) When I call in from PSTN Phone into BR1 Phone and put PSTN on hold
 then I
can hear the piano music aka music from flash

  my router shows this

  BR1#sh ccm-manager music-on-hold
Current active multicast sessions : 1
Multicast RTP port Packets Call CodecIncoming
   Address number in/outid Interface
  ===
  239.1.1.1 16384 144/144 1g711ulaw Lo0

  Looks good I guess.

Now when I call BR1 P1 from BR1 P2 and put either one of those on hold,
 I
hear the same Piano music meaning its being sourced from flash but my
 output
  for ccm-manager doesn't show anything

  BR1#sh ccm-manager music-on-hold
Current active multicast sessions : 0

So my question is, is the 2nd one unicast moh? How do I go about fixing
 this
  issue?

  Thanks

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Vol 2 Lab 2 5.1 Gatekeeper Bandwidth

2010-04-26 Thread Graham Hopkins
I have all calls working from HQ/BR1 to BR2 and from BR2 to HQ/BR1, the SCCP
phones use G.729 and the SIP phones at BR2 G.711 transcoding is invoked both
at BR2 when a SIP phone is involved.

However

calls to BR2 appear as 16 Kbps in the gatekeeper as per the question

calls from BR2 appear as 128Kbps in the gatekeeper, even when the SSCP phones
at each end show G.729 and no transcoding is in use.

Any ideas ?

How does the gatekeeper derive this bandwidth, is it taken from a setup request
even if a lower speed codec is then negotiated ?

Regards

Graham Hopkins

Hi all,

One of our customer had an issue with his 3x 7975 phones. The
phones are showing an incorrect time (they are showing GMT) while
all other phones in the same device pool are showing correct time
BST (GMT+1). I looked at the display debugs of the phone and found
that its looking for the firmware file SCCP-7975-sccp.8-3-4SR1.
This file is at TFTP and the device pack is also
cmterm-devicepack6.0.1.1102-1which is fine. The phone cannot get
the firmware from TFTP. I even upgraded the firmware to
cmterm-7975-sccp.8-5-2.cop.sgn but phone is still looking for the
old file. The device default is reflecting the new file and I also
mentioned the phone load at the device as well but phone is not
searching for new firmware. Did factory reset etc but no joy.
Anyone who coan throw some light on this please?

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Voice Translation-Rule Question

2010-04-26 Thread Hough, Earl
Came across this one real-world example and was trying to figure out the
best way to do it. Say I have a block of DIDs that I want to summarize
into a single voice translation-rule. How do I exclude only one digit
while allowing all the others? For example, I want to allow
800-555-4000 through 4499 and 800-555-4600 through 4999, which is the
entire 8005554XXX without the 4500-4599 set. I was thinking along the
lines of 54[^5]XX, but in IOS that doesn't work. I even tried escape
the '^' so that it is not perceived to be the beginning of a string.

Thoughts?

2010-04-26 Thread Marty Beutler

Hey Earl,
You could start with something like this:
voice translation-rule 4000 rule 1 reject /^80055545..$/ rule 2
/^800555\(4...\)$/ /\1/
Hope that helps!-Marty
