Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Ring tone for different ANI
Ash, It is for CME or CUCM? If CME you could try two dial-peer w/ different answer address configured (as you know, do not use incoming called number at any other dial-peer on router). For one of dial-peer configured, you could transform the called number for a number that is also associate to the destination ephone. And finally, you need associate the changed number with the ephone using the feature ring button (f). I did not try but It would reproduce a three short ring at the line. For CUCM I can not imagine a way to do that, Let us know it work or if someone has any other suggestion. HTH, Sergio. Can we do it through UCCX or is there any other way to achieve this.. Thanks Ash _ VOCÊ PODE TER 25 GB GRATUITOS PARA ARMAZENAR SEUS ARQUIVOS NA WEB. [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SIP Supplementary Services
Here's my question: What kind of real-world (or lab) scenario would require disabling SIP supplementary services on an IOS gateway? Quote from CUCM SRND: SIP Refer or SIP 302 Moved Temporarily messages can be used for supplementary services such as call transfer or call forward on Unified CME or Unified CM to instruct the transferee (referee) or phone being forwarded (forwardee) to initiate a new call to the transfer-to (refer-to) target or forward-to target. No hairpinning is needed for call transfer or call forward scenarios when the SIP Refer or SIP 302 Moved Temporarily message is supported. However, supplementary-service must be disabled if there are certain extensions that have no DID mapping or if Unified CM or Unified CME does not have a dial plan to route the call to the DID in the SIP 302 Moved Temporarily message. When supplementary-service is disabled, Unified CME hairpins the calls or sends a re-invite SIP message to Unified CM to replace the media path to the new called party ID. Both signaling and media are hairpinned, even when multiple Unified CMEs are involved for further call forwards. The supplementary-service can also be disabled for transferred calls. In this case, the SIP Refer message will not be sent to Unified CM, but the transferee (referee) party and transfer-to party (refer-to target) are hairpinned. Note Supplementary services can be disabled with the command no supplementary-service sip moved-temporarily or no supplementary-service sip refer under voice service voip or dial-peer voice voip. Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SIP Supplementary Services
That is a deep deep question. We don¹t do real world here ;-) What the doc you have quoted from is saying is that you also want to disable Refer moved in the following example: Phone A is registered to UCM Phone B is registered to CME Phone C is a phone not registered to either the CME or UCM. UCM and CME are integrated via SIP. Phone A calls Phone B. After talking for a while Phone B transfers to Phone C. When SIP REFER supp services are being used, UCM will be told to make a call to Phone C (Invite w Replaces). If UCM can¹t call Phone C then the transfer will fail. In this case you should turn off SIP supp services so that hairpin transfer will be used on the CME router- this does not require the UCM to make a call to Phone C. The down side is the media will be proxied through the CME. -- Vik Malhi CCIE #13890 Instructor - IPexpert, Inc. Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Lab5c - 91 calls to Remote Zone
Tech Prefix is not required for routing to remote zones. The configuration on the remote zone is invisible to you and hence you will have to be told EXACTLY what digits to send to the PSTN zone. If the owner of the PSTN zone requires you to send ³12345² then you send ³12345² and leave the method of how the call is routed to the remote gateway down to the remote gatekeeper configuration. Maybe the remote gateways are registered with the tech prefix ³1² or ³12² or ³123² or maybe he is using 1# as a default technology- we don¹t really care. -- Vik Malhi CCIE #13890 Instructor - IPexpert, Inc. We have the PSTN gatekeeper set up correctly as shown in the output below. There is no PSTN phone registered. The India line is on the PSTN phone. Get an IP Blue client registered to the PSTN-WAN router- you can enter the MAC address of your IP Blue / 79XX phone on proctorlabs.com and this will add register a PSTN phone after which the call to India will work. It's back up now - my connectivity was only down for 2 minutes. Thanks for the heads up about the DNS - that shouldn't have impacted the VPN connection though - it is all done by IP... OK, now Proctorlabs.com is unreachable. Again. It's been going up and down for any hour or so, but seems down now. And yes, I flushed my DNS cache ;) On Thu, May 6, 2010 at 2:11 PM, Roger Henderson rhender...@gmail.comwrote: It's back up now - my connectivity was only down for 2 minutes. I want to say that IPE matriel is much better with more and more indepth tasks and solution and more explanations. The point that the proctor guide in some labs - especially volume II - not 100 % accurate , so you will have to try a little . Also I recommend you IPE Walkthrough videos, which is a must [ I heared some of volume one videos and it is really excellent]. For INE the best is thier VoD by Josh Fink which is really very good. In brief, The IPE Workbooks 1,2 are the best along with walkthrough video's. Note: I already tried lab last month with no luck and found IPE material is very good along with the Outstanding bootcamp with Vik.
