Disable Empty Search is a workaround, but I wish Cisco would go back to having
CiscoPrivateUser in the description field not show those accounts like it did
in 4x.  Most admin don’t like filters but don’t want service accounts being
shown, even though it’s pretty easy to get a list of all users from AD with
other tools.

I have tried all the workaround and suggestions, but none of them appear to be
worked or fulfill the requirement of 'no display in the corporate directory'.
Yes, you can put "~" or some special char in the front of First/Last (in both
AD or DC directory) to hide them from the search by name, but it still appears
in the search at the bottom as "~admin, ~crs".  Again, the requirement is NO
DISPLAY.

Thanks for all the input and suggestion...I give up this one and except no

I'm pretty sure this doesn't work - the cef load balancing on the router will
be based on source-destination ip address pairs so the two calls will take the

Not sure if anyone has tested it.
Will also have to contrast it when using RSVP without RSVP agent, or if CUCM
will failover to other RSVP agents available through the MRGs.

2010-09-13 Thread Stutz, Bernhard
Hi,

I am trying to setup rsvp on 2 redundand links (Vol2-Lab5-5.1).
I configured both links with 64k bandwidth but i don't see there load balancing
happening. All calls will go via the first link and 2nd link is not been
utilized. What needs to be configured to have load balancing occuring?

HQ-RTR#sh ip rsvp interface
interfaceallocated i/f max flow max sub max
Se0/0/1:0.1 48K64K 64K 0
Se0/0/1:048K1152K1152K0
Se0/0/1:0.2 0 64K 64K 0
Se0/0/1:0.3 0 112K 112K 0

A 3nd call triggers "Not enough bandwidth" available.

cheers,

It probably that the VMware image I used to setup the UCCX server is corrupted.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CME Hunt group question

2010-09-13 Thread Amy Ryan
Amit,

You will need to at a timeout for the initial huntgroup in order for this to
flow to the second huntgroup.

For example:
ephone-hunt 1 sequential
 pilot 3100
 list 3002, 3003
 timeout 8,8
 final 3200
!
ephone-hunt 2 sequential
 pilot 3200
 list 3001

In the above example, calls coming into pilot number 3100 will first ring
extension 3002 for 8 seconds, then 3003 for 8 seconds and in the event no
one answers, it will then forward to pilot number 3200.

Amy

on my research, this file wasn't created or written in the directory when
CAD installed.

I am confusing a little bit here since this file, CAD, and Tomcat related
issues are all applied to UCCE, not UCCX. Do I need CAD for UCCX?

It probably that the VMware image I used to setup the UCCX server is
corrupted. So if someone please give me a sight based on your UCCX server,
it would be very appreciated.

Thanks,
TN.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] UCCX 7.0(1) Error - Cannot connect to the IP Phone Agent service

2010-09-13 Thread Miron Kobelski
Hi,

I had similar issue on my vmware instance of UCCX (the difference is that I
get Java stack trace after connecting to the IPPA phone service from the
phone).
I never got IPPA working on it, but it works like a charm on physical server
after exactly the same configuration steps. I spent a lot of time, bfound no
solution, simply started using physical server.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] UCCX 7.0(1) Error - Cannot connect to the IPPhone Agent service

2010-09-13 Thread Tam Nhu
I spent so much time yesterday trying to bring those two services online,
but not able to. I set up two clusters, and the same problem on both, no
matter how many time I reboot the uccx server or the UCM cluster. So you
are right, there still some issue with the uccx that I set up. That can
tell obviously how good the IPexpert vRack though, since I never has this
problem when lab'ing on vrack. Just pain-in-the-neck when you are setting
up your own lab.

I will try again today a few more tries, and if it still having the same
problem, I will give up...:)

Thanks for all the input and suggestions.

Yes, I double triple check these many times. I believed there is an problem
with uccx server, since url give the same error when open it directly on the
uccx server.

Thanks,

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] How device pool affect media resources?

2010-09-13 Thread Miron Kobelski
Hi, glad that helped. The rule for transcoder allocation is that it's always
requested by the party supporting higher bit-rate codec. This is logical,
because you normally want to keep low bit rate codec as long as possible, to
benefit from its low banwidth (so g711 is not sent over the WAN).

regards

2010-09-13 Thread Ki Wi
Thanks Miron.

After looking through the SDI, there a message "adjustDeviceTblXcoder -
Codec Mismatch". Therefore, it should be a codec related issue.

To summarize everything, the initiator (originator) to the Xcoder must be
using g711 while the remote party can be using other codec such as g729, am
i right?

Is there any other case where g729 is supported as the originator ?

"WAIT WHILE I TRANSFER YOUR CALL" is transfer greeting and you don't transfer a
call to send the message. Can you please explain how are you sending the message

Hi Experts

I configured CUE and it works properly, except for this behaviour which i dont
think is the normal behaviour, i get this after sending a voice mail, WAIT
WHILE I TRANSFER YOUR CALL then suddenly the phone that timed out without
picking the call starts ringing. whearas my Unity connection does not have this
behaviour.

Also for VPIM my message was sent on CUE agent only to see them return back to
my phone after a few minutes, However from Cisco Unity i could not get messages
sent accros, i am never prompted to enter my location ID, i know i am missing a
critical bit, i need an expert to lighten me up on how to troubleshoot VPIM
effectively.

Thanks in anticipation
