My CUPC  user cannot see the presence of by ip phone. It is showing offline,
but I have set the phone status as available.

Any ideas...

Thanks,

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] transcoder for voicemail ports

2011-06-03 Thread Peter Slow
George is asking the right questions - the gateway is most likely not
wanting to do the appropriate variant of g.729. Let's see that gateway
configuration =) The way he's saying to fix it is most likely correct.

Please check the attached script screenshot. It saves the recording on the

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] DHCP Debug in CUCM

2011-06-03 Thread Miron Kobelski
It's feasible as you don't need to gather the trace file - you get the same
output in CLI as with debug udp on the router (packets received and sent on
BOOTP/BOOTC udp ports), but my method is indeed more time consuming.

I need to check the other method with syslog messages. Thanks.

Packet
capture on CUCM CLI:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-11599

Not really feasible for lab purposes IMO.

You can also see the DHCP activity in the UCM syslog:

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] H323 gateway mobile voice access

2011-06-03 Thread adam compton
I am trying to setup mobile voice access and can't seem to get it to work
today. I can call in to MVA, it detects my calling number no problem, but I
can't dial anything out of it.

Call flow:

call comes in on 3010 on BR2 Gateway

call should go to 900916745738932 out of the BR2 Gateway.

I have a route-pattern and dial-peer voice that number.

this is the wierd debug voip ccapi output i get for this call:

  - ccCallInfo IE subfields -
   cisco-ani=5621891
   cisco-anitype=2
   cisco-aniplan=1
   cisco-anipi=0
   cisco-anisi=0
   dest=
   cisco-desttype=0
   cisco-destplan=1
   cisco-rdie=74
   cisco-rdn=9009167745738932
   cisco-rdntype=0
   cisco-rdnplan=1
   cisco-rdnpi=0
   cisco-rdnsi=0
   cisco-redirectreason=10 fwd_final_type =0
   final_redirectNumber =
   hunt_group_timeout =0

There is no destination but the rdn number is in there.

pulling my hair out over MVA. Everytime I think I got it right I stumble on
something like this.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] transcoder for voicemail ports

2011-06-03 Thread Brian Mulgrew
cuc sccp vmail port behaviour does confuse me! - even though we usually
specify the default g711u codec in cuc params, we shouldn't need an xcoder
at the vmail port side as they will support all codecs natively; cuc then
handles the xcoding internally*. So I would guess it would be pstn gwy that
will require xcoder resources or (as George mentions) the config to also
support g729r.

*There is some good info on this internal cuc xcoding behaviour here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/7x/design/guide/7xcucdg025.html

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SLRG, AAR and TEHO Configuration Assistance

2011-06-03 Thread adam compton
AAR does not apply to route-patterns. AAR is for when you call another
extension and you get out of bandwidth.

But you might want to check your service paramaters for Stop Routing on Out
of Bandwidth Flag. This should be set to False.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] SLRG, AAR and TEHO Configuration Assistance

2011-06-03 Thread Cisco Voice Mailing List
Hi Guys,

Can someone please have a look at my setup below, and give me some pointers
on where/what I'm doing wrong, or advice on what to try? Thanks!

Site 1 - Local gateway is HQ with extension range 039944
Device Pool HQ has LRG=HQ

Site 2 - Local gateway is BR1 with extension range 088844
Device Pool BR1 has LRG=BR1

All devices have a CSS of CSS-System
All lines have partition of PT-Common and CSS of CSS-System

CSS-System has PT-Common in it.

Route Groups:
RG_HQ has gateway HQ
RG_BR1 has gateway BR1

Route Lists:
RL_HQ has:
   RG_HQ
   Standard Local Route Group

RL_BR1 has:
   RG_BR1
   Standard Local Route Group

RL_Local has:
   Standard Local Route Group

Route Patterns:
0.@   -->   RL_Local and PT-Common
0.03   --> RL_HQ and PT-Common  (Additional prefix digits
for TEHO through this gateway)
0.08   --> RL_BR1 and PT-Common (Additional prefix digits
for TEHO through this gateway)

 - When I dial from HQ or BR1, it goes out the SLRG as expected (local
gateway)
 - When I dial 088844 from HQ it uses the WAN and goes out the BR1
gateway and same in the other direction

The issue is with TEHO and AAR. In the event of AAR being invoked due to
bandwidth. If I dial any number in the TEHO range of the other site (Eg.
Dial 0866554433 from HQ) the call will be rejected due to not enough
bandwidth. If I dial an actual extension in the BR1 site, it will route via
AAR correctly, as the BR1 site has an AAR group configured, however an
external number cannot.

I was under the impression I could configure a single AAR group in this
situation which would encompass every new site added.

Does anyone have any suggestions on the recommended AAR solution for
multiple sites with TEHO using SLRG?

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] transcoder for voicemail ports

2011-06-03 Thread George Goglidze
Hi Michael,

What is the gateway protocol? MGCP or h323?
Can you provide configs in both cases?
If it's h323 what do you have on outgoing dial-peer? hardcored g711? you can
try:
voice-class codec 1
codec preference 1 g711ulaw
codeb preference 2 g729r

Cheers,

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] mgcp switchback immediate

2011-06-03 Thread George Goglidze
Hi,

It will always send RSIP... graceful and RSIP restart when it comes back.

Graceful to the old one, to indicate that it's graceful disconnect and that
he should not disconnect calls.
and when it registers with the primary gain, it sends RSIP restart to
indicate the reason why it is restarting to the new call agent.

ccm-manager switchback graceful only means it will not do the process until
there are calls...

put in VM's mrgl since the region that does not support low bitrate codec will
invoke the xcoder, in your case it's the VM's.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] mva partial match does not work

2011-06-03 Thread Farkas Péter
Gents,
I have a H323 gw only for PSTN and RD is 10 digits. PSTN also sends this ten
digits. If complete match is configured MVA recognizes RD and asks only for
PIN. However if I set partial match with any number of digit MVA always
requires RD to be given.
I have already restarted both CM and MVA services.
Could you advice how to resolve and why partial match does not work but
complete does?
