Hi,
For this purpose it is necessary to bring manually the user to CUC,
instead of to import users.

As silly as it sounds, I ran into a bug with the CUP Client that exhibited this

Ctigw is for OCS/Lync. You don't need to set it up unless you have OCS or Lync
deskphone control.

Just to add, the CtiGw application user on the CM should also have these roles
and Deskphone user's phone assigned.

I have checked the cti server / gateway profile and it is fine.

I think if you remove the display name field (leaving it blank) it will
play the extension number instead.

Hi all,

is there any possibility to achieve the following :

*When someone calls from PSTN to phone number 2001 (Br2 Phone1) it should
not say HQ PHONE 1 not available it should say*
*2001 is not available please leave your message after the tone*.

modifying the personal greetings is not allowed

I tried to change the display name for this user to 2001, but it did not
work with me.

Thanks in Advance.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CUCM ver 7 VMWare

2012-12-25 Thread Van Benschoten, Brian
I'm building my CUCM 7.x lab myself.

They 7.0 CUCM will come with 3 node licenses and 150 DLU. They don't timeout.
They won't work after a upgrade or patch but that shouldn't matter for our
practice needs.

I think the CUC comes with 10 mailboxes, 2 ports. The mailboxes are limited to
30 second recording length.

I think presence and UCCX will be the licensing challenges.

I think CUP comes with a 60 day temp license that will timeout.
As I recall UCCX 7.x won't even let you complete the installation without a
license available. I don't recall if the included temp licenses on the install
media like the 8.x one does.

Concerning licensing raised by Ravindran , I've contradictory observations. CUC

2012-12-25 Thread Chrysostomos Christofi

Assume that the end user has in the controlled devices the correct phone
Assume the in the phone settings the owner is the correct user
Did you add in the cups the specific user to has a deskphone?
Did you configure the cti application user in cucm and also in cups?

If all the above are done then restart the cti manager in cucm

-verified the end points are registered
-user is associated with the line
-rebooted the CUPS server
-redid the entire integration twice

-still no good .

I get the following error message ..in deskphone (CTI) in the show server health

"Partially Connected(Primary) - Cannot Connect to Phone"

Can someone help in identifying the problem?

Hi Vir,

Please ensure following is correct in your setup.

* Verify that user devices are registered to the CUCM.
* Verify that the end user is associated with the IP phones in end user
configuration.
* Ensure that the CCMCIP profile in CUPsever is applied to the end user.
* Verify in CUCM that the device and directory number can be controlled by CTI.

hi Guys,

In the client I get the option of deskphone mode in CUPC but when I select it
the mode does not get applied.

In show server health I see the Desk phone mode says " Partially
Connected(Primary) - Cannot Connect to Phone".

I have checked the cti server / gateway profile and it is fine.

What else to check?

hi All,

In call-manager-fallback (srst) if I need to block just one phone from making
International calls then how do I do it ?

I know this is possible in cme srst as we can apply the translation-profile
under the ephone-dn of the phone but for callmanager fallback what is the
procedure?

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] QOS solution problem

2012-12-25 Thread Bill
Auto qos is acceptable in some situations but be sure you can configure it
manually because things like class based shaping require manual config.

As for which auto qos to use, you are best off trying each of them several
times so you can see what they do. You may have requirements and by trying
them you will know which one fits which need

In general you would use auto qos VoIP trust for frf12 if dscp is trusted and
without trust if not.
