Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] lab - 6

2011-11-21 Thread Bartosz Sokolowski
You are wrong.
Early Offer requires MTP. CCM doesn't care how you provide MTP.
It's possible to configure software MTP in IOS with G711 or G729. If we
consider software MTP it's G711 *or* (not and!) G729. If you use hardware
MTP on IOS it's G711 and/or G729.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] WB1 LAB 9A BACD: Call Redirect after 90 Sec. not working

2011-10-04 Thread Bartosz Sokolowski
Hi,

Change "param max-time-call-retry 9" to "param max-time-call-retry 90" and
it should work as expected.
If you set parameter value which is out of range (I think 60 is
minimum for param
max-time-call-retry) it uses default value.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] VWIC2-2MFT-G703 for voice lab

2011-08-08 Thread Bartosz Sokolowski
Hi!

The G703 version of the card can be used in a voice lab without any problems
byt with some gotchas :(
I was using it in PSTN-WAN router. The problem is that G703 card is not
supported by CCM MGCP call-agent. The H323 on IOS supports them and they are
working fine. Configuration is similar to "regural" E1/T1 card.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CME diap-peer question

2011-06-02 Thread Bartosz Sokolowski
Hi,

Config provided is good. If it goes via dial-peer 1 instead of dial-peer 3
the problem is at BR1 site.
Check incomming dial-peer on BR1 etc.
Use "voice iec syslog" on CME and BR1. It may indicate where the problem is.
Search the list archive on how to use "voice iec" feature.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] frame-relay traffic-shaping on the test

2011-06-02 Thread Bartosz Sokolowski
Hi,

In my opinion if you have such scanario you should use "class based frts"
which does not require frame-relay traffice-shaping command on physical
interface.
So you can configure shaping for one PVC not affecting the other.

It's NOT true that auto qos behaves differently.
Auto qos may be IOS version/feature set dependent.

ANI from a GW is the calling number observed via deb isdn q931 and in traces

RDP number was +447976852817 (vol 2 LAB 7 UK mobile). I tried to compare

It was failing no matter how many digits were set in "Number of Digits for

Hi,

It seems that there is a bug in some CCM versions considering partial match.
I tested 7.0.1.11000-3 and it doesn't work.
Refer to below CCM trace (CM Trace - Cisco Mobile Voice Access Service)
where partial match is enabled and number of digits was 6. Look for the
following:
* -new-code-got-callerid-as-remotedest: 07976852817
* partial match enabled
* LIKE '%07976852817'

Hi

If you enable logging to a IOS buffer you can easily get IEC.
Just put:
logging buffered 256000 ! 256000 is buffer size in bytes I believe
voice iec syslog

If something goes wrong you'll get syslog in buffer.
To see it: show logging

I just tested it :)

than on 7962s and 7911s. I changed do Europe/Amsterdam and worked as
expected.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Services where to host? Pub or Sub?

2008-09-24 Thread Bartosz Sokolowski
Hello,

A question regarding services of any kind like Personal Address Book, Extension
Mobility etc.
I can configure any server in a cluster to host services. In real world I
prefer to put one of the subscribers to host such services. If the server goes
down I can quickly reconfigure the service to another sub or even pub by
changing the URL. If the service is to be put on Pub and the server goes down
there is nothing we can do about it - no URL reconfig possible.
Is this rule of putting services on sub is good or bad for the LAB?

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Callmanager to unity integration problem

2008-09-24 Thread Bartosz Sokolowski

Hello,Remember one important thing. On Unity side default CallManager Device name prefix is "CiscoUM1-VI" and unity atomatically adds port number to that eg. 1,2,3 and so on.On CCM side default port name prefix is "CiscoUM1" and CCM adds "-VIx" suffix for that, where x is a port number (1,2,3 and so on).Maybe that's the issue?-- Best regards,Bartosz SokolowskiHi Mike,I can ping from both sidesDefault setting is used, Device names is displayed like Cisco-UM1-VI1I checked service activation page and all of services is runningI deleted integration, and create it again but again during installation I couldn't verify it.
So still same error msg.Any idea?Jeremy

Hello,Check if UnityInstall is a Unity admin (I think defaut it is not). Remember UnityInstall must be a Unity subscriber to become Unity Admin.Login to SA interface, go to Subscribers. Load UnityInstall account and check Class of service. Default for admin is {Default Administrator}.Next go to Subscribers | Class of service then System Access and verify if "Cisco Unity Administrator application access " is checked.-- Best regards,Bartosz Sokolowskijeremy co napisał(a):Hi,

What u mean by logging in as admin? I already logged in with
"unityinstall" account to windows and also I think this account is used
to access SA page, IE don't ask me about user & pass just logged me
automatically.

So I assumed that I logged in to unity as an admin already. If I'm wrong plz correct me.By the way , I tried EAdmin , Unity Admin as well same result.I used grantaccessunity tool before, to assign privilege to new created account , but unityinstall, Eadmin, Unityadmin already has privilege , So Why I need to assign privilege to them again?
I tought taht I logged as admin to unity by using one of these accounts already( unityinstall, Eadmin, Unityadmin) Am I wrong?

The error message states exactly what the problem is. Probably you are using
wrong account for UTIM. The problem is that your Windows account must have
an associated Unity subscriber that has Unity administrative rights.
In other words login to Unity (to WinOS) using an account which is Unity
admin (for SA/WWW interface), eg UnityAdmin, Eadmin or whatever you have
chosen during the installation. If you can't (windows says that interactive
login is not allowed) add this user to local administrators windows group.
You can also try Diagnostic Tool | Grant Unity Access.

That was it. I forgot to click 'Attempt to trasfer' it a window where you
choose Subscriber.
Many thanks! The solution works fine.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Unity Call Queueing

2008-06-13 Thread Bartosz Sokolowski
Basically I'd like to use Unity for queueing, the problem is I don't
know how to force Unity to queue call if it is directed to a busy
number from CCM. It works only if I call Unity and then within Unity I
call busy number.
I tried to send a call to a call handler after subscriber greeting and
then in call handler send it back to subscriber via supervise call
transfer but it doesn't work :(. I mean the only option available is
"leave a message", no option to choose holding.

Without using an external application such as Contact Center
Express, the
only way you could queue the call on CallManager is using the
Attendant
Console Hunt Group functionality. You would have to put the
subscribers you
want to queue calls into a Hunt Group and have an AC Pilot
Number(s). It
would be quite painful if you wanted to roll this out to a large
number of

subscribers, but just for John at ext 101 it would be ok.

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Unity Call Queueing

Hello,

I'd like to configure Unity in such way that if I call busy subscriber
directly I'd like the call to be queued waiting for subscriber to
become

available.
So for example if I call John at 101 I hear something like "John is
busy, if

you want to wait press 1".
For now this functionality works only if I call Unity at pilot
number eg.
199 and then within Unity call subscriber extension 101. If I call
directly

101 I only hear something like "Sorry John is not available, leave a
message".
Anyone has an idea how to queue calls without calling Unity pilot
number?

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] What versions of Unity Express and MSFC software should we expect on LAB exam?

Hello everyone,

I'm preparing my lab for voice CCIE and basically I'm not sure what software
should I put on Unity Express and MSFC card on C6500. Cisco doesn't state that

Any suggestions?
