Hopefully it should work on FreeBSD 8.0 aswell. On the FreeBSD 7.2 machine that I have access to there exists only one ncurses header file, ncurses.h. No ncursesw/cursesw.h or ncursesw/curses.h. configure wrongly assumed that the header files exists if it was possible to link against libncursesw. Since the header files did not exist, the build failed when compiling. Could you try pulling latest from the mob branch and test if it builds on your system? A little further digging seems we're only looking at the type and name fields of the utmp struct, and only in that one place in the code. These fields are identically named in the 2 types, and serve the same purpose, so there is no functional difference between what we would pull from a utmp structure or a utmpx structure. Substituting utmpx instead of utmp would be a minimal change in the base include, made simpler by autoconfigure, and a determining of which include we brought in to determine whether *u should be of type utmp or utmpx. Once that's determined, *u should behave exactly the same. On Tue, 19 Jan 2010, Håkan Kvist wrote: -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 It seems like the utmp-thingies are only used in linux. Since I had nothing better to do this evening I tried to fix that on the mob branch. It should work for a user that uses centerim for the first time. But if you allready got a ~/.centerim directory it is not perfect, but still better than nothing. [CenterIM-devel] building centerim5
Hello. Today thought I would download and build centerim5, just in order to have a look at it, and maybe to find an easy todo or two to have a look at. The problem was that couldn't arse myself to find out how to properly install/prepare libpurple so that it is found by ceterim5's configure script. If someone could provide an idiot's guide how to build centerim5 (preferably on the wiki), that would be quite nice. I have no intrest in compiling/installing the whole pidgin-thingie... best regards Håkan -- ___ Centerim-devel mailing list Centerim-devel@centerim.org http://centerim.org/mailman/listinfo/centerim-devel http://www.centerim.org/

An idiots guide is not what I'm going to give you, but the following steps might help you: 1) download pidgin sources 2) ./configure them 3) go into the libpurple directory and 4) make it 5) make install it Well, it seems to work, havn't got it to compile yet though. It seems like centerim5 requires libgmm-2.4 version 2.12.8 or higher. My machine runs Debian stable which includes the 2.12.0 version of that library, so the compilation fails. Anyway, I'll update the wiki when I get it compile properly. regards Håkan -- ___ Centerim-devel mailing list Centerim-devel@centerim.org http://centerim.org/mailman/listinfo/centerim-devel http://www.centerim.org/
