Apuesto que es un equipo xp proffesional y no home, a mi me pasó que tenía varios equipos con perfiles móviles activados y los homes tuve que emular un inicio de sesion por que en verdad no se conectaba al servidor samba, y es poner las carpetas de usuario como unidades de red las cuales se conectaban cuando iniciaban sesión en el equipo cliente, fué la unica solución que encontre. y funciono sin problemas para el puerto 53 y el 80.

Otra opcion (si no estan instalados los servicios es usar netcat
(nc)
en
la
maquina a prestar el servicio a fin de verificar que el firewall
este
permitiendo el acceso a los puertos antes mencionados.
nc -l 80 esto abre un conector al puerto 80 en la maquina local
luego desde otra maquina prueba con nmap si puedes ver el puerto
con
estado
open.
esta prueba solo lo permite nc una sola vez. si efectuas una
segunda
prueba
el puerto dara como resultado closed.

[CentOS-es] Proble Sendmail
Saludos a todos haber si alguien me pueda echar una mano con esta consulta, tengo un servidor centos 5.9 funcionando con MailScanner, hasta hace 1 semana estaba trabajando bien, el ISP nos cambio la ip publica y desde ahí inicio el problema, accedí al servidor a cambiar la ip en la tarjeta de red, en las zonas del dns y más archivos donde estaban alojadas estas ips como el archivo access. Hice esta cambio reinicie los sevicios y aparentemente los emails se iban pero no llegaban al destino al revisar el log me encuentro que cuenaod se envia emails en el correo se va de la siguiente forma ctladdr=cesar.marti...@server.alfredoribadeneira.ec y este email es rechazado por el destinatario. HE revisado ya el hostname he hecho miles de cambios y no me funciona no se si alguien haya tenido este problema y pued guiarme donde puede estar el problema, detallo que solo se cambio la ip pública. hay un periodo donde los dns tienen que refrescar, verifica si tus dns están resolviendo correctamente y si tu direcciones se ha refrescado en otros servidores ... Johnny ( other CentOS folks), Am I being fooled by some proxies between me and centos (and all the centos mirrors, which what I normally use), or has the repodata for CentOS 5.9 updates not been updated since 03-Jun-2013 12:08? I was under the impression that the repodata on the main centos servers was updated about the same time as any CentOS-announce message going out, unless I also see a message from one of the admins indicating an issue, so I am very confused. Hello, I am running in problem of changing boot mode. My snort script dump packets speedily that I am unable to login as either GUI or CLI I have followed steps Boot Menu options - pressing e - kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.32-358.6.1.el6.x86.64 ro root=UUID=ac176b7b-cbbf-- then press e- TYPE=pc KEYTABLE=us rd_NO_DM rhgb quiet radeon.modeset=0 when I try to change 0 to 1,3,5 it reverts to 0. I add this using msktutil on the client when the client is joined to the domain. Using net ads keytab add nfs is NOT sufficient, since it adds an SPN and not a UPN. From ausearch, I have AVC messages now, but they are all from May or from after I posted about evince. I do not understand why I did not find the May ones with grep. grep still only gives me 7, the ones from June, and does ont give me times, even when I use -e time in the command line. Just create iptables rules rather than the hosts.deny format. iptables -I Blacklist -s xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -j DROP Of course, you need to add a rule in your main ruleset to call the Blacklist chain. If you can't even boot into single user mode you have major problems, which you'd probably need to diagnose with a rescue CD (the CentOS installer DVD doubles as rescue media). If you can at least get somewhere with runlevel 1 (or S), and with leaving out rhgb and quiet from the kernel parameters, you might see an interesting message on the console that would point in the right direction. The reason I suggest these steps is that system halts is not a very helpful problem description. The more specific information you can provide the more likely you are to get useful advice. Hi. I'm seeing a lot of entries in /var/log/audit/audit.log acct=28756E6B6E6F776E207573657229 , which apparently means unknown user . Sample from the logs : type=USER_LOGIN msg=audit(1370998250.746:1622709): user pid=16762 uid=0 auid=4294967295 ses=4294967295 msg='op=login acct=28756E6B6E6F776E207573657229 exe=/usr/sbin/sshd hostname=? addr=127.0.0.1 terminal=ssh res=failed' How do I track down what is causing this ? Thus far I have has not luck using the pid with ps or lsof as it seems the process has gone by the time I respond to the log entries. Hello All. I have done changes as per James sir instructions but changes are not saving permanently. They are disappeared after few seconds. So I think I should try DVD for rescue.
