Yes, you are still in need of rhel-instnum on a CentOS box.

Please take a look at the following comment from stahnma (in a totally
different context, but the last sentence is relevant):

After installing and configuring a Spacewalk server, I removed the
rhel-instnum package. The Spacewalk server seems to work correctly even
if this package is not present. Do you know what should break once the
rhel-instnum package is removed?

Maybe this question should be asked directly to the spacewalk list?

There is an interesting article that that you might want to read at

I guess all other "external" repos have at least some "personal
experience" blurb around it, so yes, I'd also expect that here.

Hmmm. Or in the Laptop section? :)

I'd say: If it adds to the general Mac section (meaning other Mac users
will also be able to take advantage of that), it should be added to the
MacTel section. If it is too special, it should get its own page.

Under TipsAndTricks, probably?

Tsk :)

Package it and inject it into one of the third party repos, I'd say!

I'm not really sure what you are trying to accomplish here: Do you want
to add something to the wiki? Then the following text is way too special

Um. Why do you think that needs to be done?

Why would you need to find out the numerical IP address?

I think you mean 5.4 here.

That a) doesn't have to do anything with the installer not having
reverse DNS capability (it does not need to) and b) a host name like
above works just fine.

Not needed. And not all mirrors work that way.

>h. At "System to Upgrade", choose "Reinstall System"

Ummm. That only happens when you already have a system on there. Which
you can just upgrade via yum if you already are on CentOS 5.

That looks like some "special need" to me.

Why?

Why?

Too special.

And if I don't have an nforce?

Why?

What?

Nope. Not needed at all.
