[KCFusion] Cold Fusion & ASP Live together in perfect Harmony

2001-05-23 Thread Brandt, Lee

We have a server that is running ASP and CF sites. One site even has
sections of it that are ASP and sections that are CF. Loading SP2 onto the
server for CF4.5 seems to have scrambled some of the ASP components (ADO,
and others).

Has anyone had problems running ASP sites and Cold Fusion Sites on the same
server. Even within the same application. Are there any articles that have
to do with problems with doing this, ways to prevent problems, etc.

We only run our site on CF. When I upgraded our production server from
4.0.1 to 4.51 SP2 recently we experienced some problems with on of our
custom DLLs that utilizes Access. I tried loading a number of different
fixes with little success until I loaded Microsoft's data object components.
Grab the 2.6 version from www.microsoft.com/data and it will probably fix
your problems.

We've run both on our testing server, and our production server without problems.  We keep the Micro$oft data access components upgraded, though.

[KCFusion] FYI

2001-05-23 Thread mark . e . boles

For those whom care:

* IE ALLOWS SPOOFING OF TRUSTED WEB SITES
Two newly discovered vulnerabilities in Microsoft Internet Explorer
(IE) 5.01 and 5.5 let an attacker spoof trusted Web sites. The first
vulnerability involves how IE validates digital certificates sent from
Web servers. The second vulnerability can let a Web page display the URL
from a different Web site in the IE address bar. Microsoft has released
a patch and FAQ and will make article Q295106 available online soon.

[KCFusion] more dynamic dropdowns

2001-05-23 Thread Chris

Can anyone tell me why the following code works in IE
5.0, 5.5 and Netscape 6, but not Netscape 4.7?

I've put an alert to pop up the category. In Netscape
4.7 it comes in as null. Is there another way to
refer to this in the function?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Bryan,

Are you telling us that Netscape 6 is using Javascript 1.1 now instead of
the 1.2/1.3 that it (NN 4.7) and IE have been using?
