RE: Regular Expression Help

lWordList = ArrayToList(myarray,"|");
REReplaceNoCase(mystring,"([^[:alnum]])(#lWordList#)([^[:alnum]])","\1\3"
,"ALL");

This will replace the words defined in myarray by empty strings.

If you want to use regular expressions to do it, easiest way would be to
use the character class for whitespace before and after your
preposition.

However don't underestimate the power of the CF list processing
functions, think of your search term as a list seperated by whitespace
and you can use any of the CF list functions.

CFQUERYPARAM: a good generic numeric type?

2002-03-03 Thread Matt Robertson

Was reading Ben Forta's article on CFQUERYPARAM in CFDJ. I need to get
off my butt and use this instead of just wrapping vars in a VAL
statement.

However I have to support four db platforms (Access, SQL Server, mySQL
and Oracle) with the same code. Is there a single numeric SQL type that
will work with simple ID numbers on all four platforms?

CF_SQL_INTEGER?
CF_SQL_NUMERIC?

get modification date of file via http

2002-03-03 Thread James Sleeman

Hi all,
anybody know if there is a way of getting the modification date of a
file without retrieving the entire file using CFHTTP.

Essentially what I want to do, in pseudo code is

Download file

i.e the same thing that a web browser cache might do when requesting file -
if the header indicates the URL is newer than the file in the cache,
download it, otherwise use the cached version.

The way your are doing it, just do the following:
Take plain outputs and put them around the loop (so it doesn't have to
output, output output ...(don't know if it matters)..

Then do as you were doing ...

SELECT this, that, theotherthing
FROM tblName
WHERE ID = #id#

#this##that##theotherthing#

You could also do "IN"

SELECT this, that, theotherthing
FROM tblName
WHERE ID IN (#id#)

#this##that##theotherthing#

just a quick note, the files are Generator templates, that are processed
by Generator to dynamically create the Flash movies. Generator's

Re: CFGraph

2002-03-03 Thread Bruce H. Sorge

CFGraph does not store the graphs. There are templates that are installed
that lay out the basic framework for the graphs. That is the who purpose of
having a dynamic graphing engine, so that you do not have to create and
store the graphs. This is also why you have to have the Jrun server and the
Macromedia Generator installed. The files are java applets that use the
generator to render and display the charts.

Make sure that the anonymous user account (IUSR_MACHINENAME) has read access
to your static files, and execute access to your CFM files. Also, make sure
that the CF service (typically running as SYSTEM) has read access to your
CFM files. Finally, make sure that the anonymous user, along with any other
user accounts that you want to have run CFM files, has read/execute access
to \CFUSION\BIN\ISCF.DLL.

Finally, you might want to configure each one of these virtual directories
so that it runs within the context of the website it's in. You can do that
by right-clicking on the virtual directory and selecting "Properties".
You'll then see a "Remove" button in the lower right of the dialog. If this
isn't grayed out, click on it to remove the virtual directory as a separate
application - it'll then run as part of the parent site.

I'm pretty sure that it's dynamically generated. That is, it's not stored
anywhere - it's generated on the fly and returned to the browser. The
templates used to generate them, though, are in the \CFUSION\cfgraphs
directory. They have a .swt extension.

That's the SmartHeap DLL, which CF uses to manage memory, as Howie noted.
You might want to make sure you've turned off CF 4.5 before attempting the
upgrade. You might also want to make sure you don't have any conflicting
versions. In addition to searching for SHSMP.DLL, you might also search for
SHW32.DLL, which is another name for the library (I suppose that's the
non-SMP version of it). If you've installed any other applications
(services, typically, I'd guess) which might use this, they may have
installed a different version.

Re: Upgrading to CF 5...

2002-03-03 Thread Howie Hamlin

That DLL is a heap manager that (I assume) CF uses internally. Where are you seeing
these errors?

It's possible that an older version of the DLL is on your system and does not have an
internal function that is required by CF. I
have two on my system - one in my CF backup folder (version is 5.0.0.0) and one in the
CF bin folder. The one in the CF bin folder
is a later one and is 117k in size and has a version of 6.0.1.3.

Do a search of your system for all occurances of shsmp.dll and also make sure that the
6.0.1.3 version is the one in your cf\bin
folder. If you have older versions in your cf\bin folder or in your windows system
folder then that could be causing the problem.

Hi all...I just attempted to upgrade a CF 4.5 server to CF 5, and got a slew

WOW! this is excellent. I usually go there and begin a search with a big
groan and a sigh. Now maybe I can make some time to actually browse the
place. How wonderfully cool!
