RE: cfwindow binding

2007-12-07 Thread Rakshith N
Steve,
I got this working. Am guessing the issue is with the way you
are trying to fire the onchange event for the textbox.

I posted a couple of entries on my blog, both on firing the onchange
event and on the url bind you are trying to achieve.

Take a look.

Thanks,

Subject: cfwindow binding

I am attempting to bind a url parameter for a cfwindow to a text input
box.
The value for the input box is set programmatically. The first time the
window is displayed it properly binds to the value that has been set in
the
input box (the value is not set at load time, but when a certain
selection
on the page occurs). After the window is closed and the value of the
input
box is changed (programmatically), and the window is displayed again, it
still has the original value for the url parameter and not the new
value.

As I understand it, the binding occurs at the onchange event of the text
box. I am manually calling the onchange event when the value of the
text
box is assigned, and the function in the onchange event executes so
everything seems ok there. Besides, it binds properly the first time
the
window is displayed so again it shows the onchange event is firing. It
just
does not seem to bind on any subsequent calls to show the window.

However, if I manually type a value into the text box, the binding
occurs
every time the window is displayed. Where am I going wrong here?

Thanks

Steve

On our load balancer (Coyote Equalizer) we have a setting, spoof, that
forwards the client address to the web server instead of the load

Might be something similar on the Citrix box.

Re: CFFTP and Windows Firewall

2007-12-07 Thread Sean Daniels
Chandan,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, this is happening after applying hotfix2, although I
have another server that I have not applied the patch to that I can reproduce
the issue on as well.

That being said, I'm not convinced this is a CF problem, because I get pretty
much the same result trying to FTP the file using the Windows command line FTP
client, and also using Internet Explorer to try to fetch the file. However, I
don't believe those clients use passive mode so maybe that's the problem there.
I suppose it's possible CF is not using passive mode when I tell it to? Is
there anyway to trace what's going on in the CFFTP (to see the raw commands
it's sending)?

My server config is:

Windows 2003 SP 2
IIS 6.0
CF 8 hotfix 2

I tried changing the JRE to 1.6.0 update 3 but that didn't help. I also updated
the apache commons net library in CF to 1.4.1 but that didn't help either.

 Hi Sean,

If I may ask, did this started only after applying hotfix2 or was it
with 8.0 too? What is your server configuration? Any other info for
reproducing this would be very much appreciated. In case, I can be
 reached at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

FYI, hotfix 2 contains fix for a bug in ftp of similar nature. There
is a possibility that the hotfix jar you have is either bad or not
 being picked!

 Thanks,
 Chandan

Jason,

You have to change the onClick to the following.

cfinput type=image name=image1 width=65 height=65
onClick={document.formname.test.text = 'myvalue'}

That will update it momentarily (you'll see it flash) and then it goes back to

Rob,

Thank you for the suggestion however, the changes you provided netted
the same result. It has been my experience that you do not need to
provide that sort of detailed targeting while using AS in cfform. For
example...

cfinput type=text name=input1 bind={input2.text}

cfinput type=text name=input2

Typing text into 'input2' will immediately be entered into 'input1'.

I do appreciate the input so please don't take my example the wrong way.

Flash form binding using cfinput type=image

2007-12-07 Thread Jason Durham
I'm building a form that will allow the user to click on an image
(cfinput type=image) to select it. When they click on it, I want a
value inserted into a text cfinput. Here is an example of what I'm
trying to do... but it's not working. I can't find documentation to tell
me if I can/can't do this.

cfinput type=text name=test width=200 label=test:

cfinput type=image name=image1 width=65 height=65
onClick={test.text == 'myvalue'}

The form compiles fine but when I click on 'image1', I get nothing. If I
change it to ...onClick=alert('foo') I get an alert box when I
click 'image1'.

Thanks!

Cover border lines of drop down with images

2007-12-07 Thread ismail cassiem
Hi,

I found a small work around for my previous post but i have no clue on how to
do it.

It appeared impossible to get rid of the default border lines of a select box
by changing the css. A { border: 0; } doesn't work.
My workaround is to cover these border lines with 4 images around. Because the
select box has to be clickable, it is impossible to realize it with one
covering image with a transparent inside!

Anyone please Assist!

Java help - convert -D command line option to CF?

2007-12-07 Thread Ryan Stille
I am converting a little java code into CF8. The sample Java program I
am working from is meant to be run with this command line option:

-Dcom.java4less.vision.maxarea=90

Without having that set, my results in ColdFusion are not working very
well. Anyone know how I can do something like the above in
ColdFusion? I have no vision object to work with or anything, I'm
only working with 1 instantiated java object and there is no maxarea
property or setter in that object.

I imagine I could change ColdFusion's JVM start up parameters to include
that option, but I don't really like that idea.

cfajax mapping issue

2007-12-07 Thread d l
Using Ben's sample, calling a cfc:ajax_functionA.methodB({cfautosuggestvalue})
from a cf template serviced by jrun internal web server would work while
attempting to have IIS 5 to service the same CF template would fail.

Some facts:
-- The same IIS 5 web server works fine with other CF8 templates.
-- this cfc component resides in the same directory as the cf template.

I suspect some kind of mapping isn't right, the cf admin really couldn't tell
what needs to be mapped for the cf8 app server to 'talk to' the external web
server for ajax etc. function.

Thanks.

RE: Flash form binding using cfinput type=quot;imagequot;

2007-12-07 Thread Dave Francis
OK, well how about trying a single =, == is a test not an assignment

Thanks for the suggestion. Test.value == 'myvalue' results in an error
saying...

1 Error found.

Error /cti-stlcom/inde.mxml:331
There is no property with the name 'value'.

It seems that CF/Flex/whatever doesn't provide a 'value' property for
TextInputs.

Not sure about cfinput, but for regular type=text it should be .value,
not
text

cfinput type=text name=test width=200 label=test:

cfinput type=image name=image1 width=65 height=65
onClick={test.text == 'myvalue'}

Jason,

You have to change the onClick to the following.

cfinput type=image name=image1 width=65 height=65
onClick={document.formname.test.text = 'myvalue'}

That will update it momentarily (you'll see it flash) and then it goes
back
to being blank. I am sure someone else will be able to help with the
rest,
but that is the change required to the JS call.

Rob

RE: Java help - convert -D command line option to CF?

2007-12-07 Thread Dave Watts
I am converting a little java code into CF8. The sample
Java program I am working from is meant to be run with
 this command line option:

 -Dcom.java4less.vision.maxarea=90

Without having that set, my results in ColdFusion are not
working very well. Anyone know how I can do something like
the above in ColdFusion? I have no vision object to work
with or anything, I'm only working with 1 instantiated java
object and there is no maxarea property or setter in that object.

I imagine I could change ColdFusion's JVM start up parameters
to include that option, but I don't really like that idea.

The component in question is probably this:
http://www.java4less.com/vision/vision.php

Presumably, your class is either using this, or using something which is
using this?

Anyway, it seems to me that you have three options. Add the option to
jvm.config, invoke your program from CFEXECUTE instead of integrating it
into your CF code, or modify the source code of the component to contain
this value as a default.

Paul, I have emailed you personally with the download information. However, for
others who have received the issue and may not be subscribers, we have also
made a public HTTP link available just for the code.

You can look at the code for Vol. 2 Issue 2 at
