No. I can attach a file and send it normally using Outlook. I also
tried to attach a Word document and had the same results. If I attached
the Word and Excel files, they ended up being renamed and zipped???

RE: CFMX.. Wont!

Have you checked to make sure there is no firewall software or any
security software? Rather vague, but I tried to install CFMX with
TCP/IP advanced security limiting the open ports.it would install,
but not completely. Once I disabled this, reinstalled, then re-enabled,
I had no problems. Sorry, my brain is fried and I'm having difficulties

Ok.. I give.

New install of a server w/IIS5 and CFMX. CFM files simply won't serve.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled CF. Have uninstalled and reinstalled
the connector. Nada.

The JrunScrips dir points to an existing dir.. And the rest of the
install seems fine. But no go.

Anyone have ideas?

RE: Datasource using CFMX

You may be able to find more references as to what the Microsoft Jet 4
SP3 contains, but I found that I had to install it, as well as the MDAC
update, for my DSN's to work.

Macromedia makes reference to this in the release
notes(http://www.macromedia.com/support/coldfusion/releasenotes/mx/relea

That is true, you do need to use SQL Server Authentication and not
Windows
Authentication to use the JDBC type 4 drivers via CFMX. I AM using a SQL

login and the login works fine from the ODBC control panel. I just can't

connect through the CFMX datasource administrator. And its really
starting
to drive me batty.

What am I missing? Any clues would be appreciated, I really need to get
this working

Are you getting a java socket error? If so, try this from the MX

I am at a total loss on this one. I've searched the forums with no
success
and this lists archives.

I am trying to connect to a MSSQL Datasource on a separate machine from
the
CFMX administrator. I have set up and tested the connection using the
ODBC
control panel, and this works 100%. When I try through the CFMX admin
page
I get an error. I am using the SQl Server Datasource setting, not the
ODBC
Socket. SQL Server has a login specified and I am using that username
and
pass. The error says to check the username and password. I am sure the
info
is correct!

I have tried removing the datasource entries from the jrun-resources
file
with no luck. I don't know what else to do at this point? Does any one
have
any suggestions? Please? :)

I don't understand why it would work fine from the ODBC control panel
but
not through CFMX.

Thanks for the help, god knows I need all I can get these days ;)

Absolutely--- Not!

I once ragged a contemporary for sloshing around in the "Bowels of BSD"
-- not a pretty thought!

My only prior 'Nix experience is Quinx on PC (pre windows) and Yellow
Dog Linux on the Mac -- both were more trouble than they were worth.

I ran across the quote in a column by Tim O'Reilly

http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2002/09/17/switcher.html?page=3

The attribution is to Steven Champeon, a contributor to Unix Power
Tools, 3rd Edition writes that OS X is for people who love Unix and the
Mac

I laughed out loud when I read it & thought of Jesse -- could just as
easily been for Matt!

Nothing meant here, except to try and share a laugh -- it is funny (at
least to me).

creating your links just replace the "=,&,?" with "/" and add a .htm to the

Re: send html page using CFMAIL

2001-04-27 Thread Chuck Brockman

If you want to make it dynamic, you can try something like this.

You may have to mess with the above statement to get it to work

Pass this in your form.

Use this to send to the form.

http://www.yourdomain.com/#form.pagetoemail#"; method="GET"
resolveurl="false">
#form.emailmessage#

#ReplaceNoCase(cfhttp.filecontent, "images/",
"http://www.yourdomain.com/images/, "ALL")#
