OT: jsp questions/Good JSP/CF host
Hi, I've been sent several jsp pages by an entity that would like for us to use the pages to interface with their remote server via xml. However, it appears that our cf host does not support jsp.* I suppose I have to ask the age-old question, but with a twist: can anyone recommend a good cf host that also supports jsp? * I am assuming our current server does not support jsp because When I run the pages, the following errors occur: - though the html is visible, the jsp variables do not show. - I get a 405 Method not Allowed error when I post a form. Do I have alternatives other than to switch hosts and/or recreate the pages in cfm? The latter would be a good way to learn how to work intimately with xml but unfortunately this was due yesterday :-) Thanks in advance, Andrew __ This list and all House of Fusion resources hosted by CFHosting.com. OT: JSP newbie - need referer value in servlet
Way off topic: I've received no help from JSP lists, maybe I'm wording my question incorrectly as I am very new to JSP. In a servlet, I need to reference the name of the JSP file that called the servlet. Something along the lines of the cgi.http_referer variable in CF. Anyone know how to harvest this value? OT: jsp - cfhttp equivalent
Machine 1 has a jsp app on it. Machine 2 is a cf server with the needed datasource on it. I need to add some code to the jsp app to run a sql insert on machine 2. I am restricted in setting up a datasource on machine 1 so I figured I could have the code to do the insert on machine 2 and call it from the app on machine 1, maybe with a cfhttp type call. Is this possible, if so can someone point me in the right direction for finding the JSP equivalent of cfhttp. Hope I explained it clearly, it makes sense in my mind, not sure if it comes through clear written down :) Scott ~~ Structure your ColdFusion code with Fusebox. OT: JSP - JRun Install Failure
I am trying to get this setup. After installing when it wants to setup the Connection to the External Server which I assume is my PWS Server. I am using this for learning on my local machine. I assume you would have it listen to port 80 but that simple stops my PWS from working completely. What can I do to fix this? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but now jrun.dll is locked, I tried rebooting into dos mode and then deleting the dll that seem to have worked only now I can not get into the setup of server connector. So I uninstalled and reinstalled it seemed to work but when I used the connector once again I was in the above pickle. What am I doing wrong? Am I understanding or not asking the right questions? HELP? Thanks, Nathan ~~ Structure your ColdFusion code with Fusebox. Re: OT: JSP - JRun Install Failure
Nathan, I don't think that JRun supports PWS (though I could be totally wrong; it's been a while since I've installed it). You might want to take a look at upgrading to Win2k pro (which has full blown iis). Additionally, you'll probably want to take a look at the jrun-talk and jsp-talk lists on houseoffusion.com -- Billy Cravens HR Web Development, Sabre [EMAIL PROTECTED] Nathan Stanford wrote: I am trying to get this setup. [OT] JSP?!
Hy! Sorry for posting another OFF-TOPIC question. I just have some questions about JSP. I'm looking for a good book (something like CF books from Ben Forta) on JSP? Do I have to develop my own tags (beans) to do the things which were in CF common (cfhttp tags for instance)?
