RE: CF7 Flash Remoting

2005-06-20 Thread Ray Buechler
Dave,

Thanks for pointing me to the extention. Should come in handy for other stuff
as well.

Tried the DW extension and remoting is clearly not working on my production
server.

When pointing the extension at my development computer it returns information
about the CFC I have configured with the extension. When pointed at my
production server the progress bar on the extension just spins and no results
are returned.

BTW...going to http://locahost:8500/flashservices/gateway? returns this in the
browser if remoting is working:

404 /flashservices/
/flashservices/

I think this is a hotfix2 thing that MM put into place.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ray

ok you can't test your pages by going to /flashservices/gateway

to run it live to see if its working or go to http://www.communitymx.

In this case though - FR was working. It was when I made the change to
verify script exitence (so that 404 errors can be handled better) that
FR stopped workig.

 Ray,

I would add to that, that I have had to rerun the connector script
(iisconnector.bat I think) after adding a new site and wanting to use
remoting. The only visible change that it affected was a Jrunscripts
directory. So the next time it happened I simply added a virutal map to the
Jrunscripts directory and that did the trick.

Um, no, not to be picky either ... it is Flash accessing a CFC in ColdFusion
MX 7 via AMF (Flash Remoting). The question was Has any one been able to
connect to Flash Remoting in CFMX 7?, and that is exactly what that is
doing. ;-)

Re: CF7 Flash Remoting

2005-06-15 Thread Raymond Camden
Aldon, I'm not sure if this will help, but... I noticed on two
machines (running IIS), that Flash Remoting wouldn't work until I
added a real folder called /flashservices/gateway. Why? I had tweaked
my settings to do a Check for script in the CFM mappings. I had to do
this to override CF's built in ugly 404 error. As soon as I did this,
FR stopped working. Making the folders (with nothing inside) seemed to
restore FR.

RE: CF7 Flash Remoting

2005-06-15 Thread Mark A Kruger
