Mail is spooled then moved to undelivered
Hi Guys, OK I am really puzzled by this. I have created a script to send out mails every Friday and have tested it. It works fine...when it wants to. I have run tests and the tests work. However, NOW it doesn't anymore. In my CFMAIL tags, I have specified the SMTP cerver and the port. I have switched to three different server with the same results. The emails get spooled and then after about 5 minutes, it is moved to undelivered. My CF Server version is 4, 5, 0, 0. I have posted this problem before and all have given me good suggestions but I am still stumped. Does anyone out there have any other clues? The mail logs just say Error,TID=306,01/11/02,17:05:37,Failed to send the spooled mail file, C:\CFUSION\MAIL\spool\D20.cfmail. SMTP server replied Internal error: Pending mail operations must be completed. Moved file to C:\CFUSION\MAIL\undelivr\D34.cfmail. Any leads to nailing the culptri is greatly appreciated. I have gotten this error once or twice, and bouncing the CF service on the machine in question fixed it every time. -Cameron Cameron Childress elliptIQ Inc. p.770.460.1035.232 f.770.460.0963 -- http://www.neighborware.com America's Leading Community Network Software -Original Message- From: Tammy Hong [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, January 14, 2002 10:19 AM To: CF-Talk Subject: Mail is spooled then moved to undelivered Hi Guys, OK I am really puzzled by this. RE: Mail is spooled then moved to undelivered
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU...you have hit the bullseye! Aint that weird though? Yes, it's very weird. Probably has something to do with the way CF hands off mail to a built-in third party add-on from Netscape (I think Netscape) to handle the mail transactions. I've only seen it happen a few times, and no amount of shuffling files around ever solves anything. You gotta bounce the service. Of course this will surely all change in Neo with it's ability to use Java mail libs... :) -Cameron Cameron Childress elliptIQ Inc. p.770.460.1035.232 f.770.460.0963 -- http://www.neighborware.com America's Leading Community Network Software -Original Message- From: Tammy Hong [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, January 14, 2002 4:00 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: Mail is spooled then moved to undelivered THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU...you have hit the bullseye!
