For under $400 you cant go wrong with cfwebstore, it takes a while to
get used to especially if you dont know fb3, but it is well laid out
and has lots of features.

If you are going for simplicity, you can try yahoo stores as well, not
cfm, but fairly customizable, but it can cost $$$.

+1 for cfwebstore

I've used all three of these. Able commerce has a lot of features but it's a
nightmare to modify. I really like CF Webstore - nice package and good
features. It's also easy to modify especially if you've ever used fusebox.

We've had nothing but great experience with e-onlinedata. We have quite a
few customers using them. Plus they have a discounted authorize.net plan.
I've also used Wells Fargo's authorize.net plan as well. A little more
expensive. Both were great with extremely fast pay.

We usually do the application process for our clients. Wells was a little
more strict with the credit check than e-online which is why we ended up
switching to them. Wells was rejecting new business non brick/mortar sites
without the owner having a 700+ rating. E-online has had a much higher
approval rate.

It was two weeks of on again, off again hell. Eventually, they had

Well, they've had problems off and on as long as I've used (and supported) them
but other than that one DOS attack this year, it does seem they've improved a
lot in terms of uptime. In addition to having good rates, they are also one of
the easier processors to use. No custom tags to install on the server like with
Versign and Linkpoint, just fill in your settings and it's good to go. My only
real gripe with AuthNet is that they don't support CVV2 with AmEx cards, but
I'm not sure if that's a common issue with other processors or not. I just know
my only chargeback in the last year was an AmEx card and that would probably
have caught it!

One other nice feature that you can use with my software with AuthNet (as well
as a few other processors) is delayed capture. This allows the merchant to
authorize the card at the time of sale and then capture the funds later when
the order ships, directly in the software's admin area. With most software you
have to do this on the AuthNet site which can be quite a pain to find the right
orders and match them up.
