RE: RDS IP

2007-05-04 Thread Dave Watts
Hi, I had to switch the IPs on one of the boxes and now my
RDS will not respond on the new IP. If I leave the old IP
assigned in my network config, I can connect using it just
fine, but connecting via the new IP errors out. This is on
Windows and CF7. Looks like the RDS got configured with the
original IP during install and I can't find anyplace to
change that. Searched the web, newsgroups, techdocs, text
string in the CF install dir, nothing.

RDS doesn't use a specific IP address, it simply relies on the web server.
Requests that meet a specific URL pattern (/CFIDE/Main/ide.cfm) are
processed by RDS instead of the rest of CF.

So, the problem is most likely caused by some problem in your web server
configuration. What web server are you using?

Have never had an issue like this... Is there a firewall, router that's
forwarding rds to the old ip maybe? Have you tried rebooting after changing
the ip?
