RE: Strange CFAS 5 Error

2002-12-18 Thread Mosh Teitelbaum
Have you tried Isaac's suggestion (wrapping the variables with the var()
function)? Did it fix it or did you get the same error? Also, what happens
if you wrap each in an IsNumeric() function as in:

#IsNumeric(REQUEST.LISTINGS.MAXROWS)#

#IsNumeric(VARIABLES.start)#

RE: Strange CFAS 5 Error

2002-12-18 Thread paul smith
But my code demonstrated the values of the variables using CFOUTPUT
Their values are 51 & 50.

Then on the next line how could they change?

I guess I wasn't clear. Here is my exact code:
===

#VARIABLES.start#

#REQUEST.LISTINGS.MAXROWS#

===

The output statement above demonstrates that variables.start=51 and
request.listings.maxrows=50 right before these two variables are used in
the CFSET

Why the error?

RE: Strange CFAS 5 Error

2002-12-18 Thread paul smith
I don't think so. The CFOUTPUT right before verified the value is 51.

RE: Strange CFAS 5 Error

2002-12-18 Thread S . Isaac Dealey
LOL... there's a possibility that it may not be interpreting one of your
variables as a numeric value ... You might try putting val() around both of
your variables in that cfset tag and see if that solves the immediate issue.
If so, then you've got a handle on figuring out just exactly what's going on
with it.

Looks like somehow you've accidentally set variables.start to "51Please"
instead of 51 -- you know that CF will assign values even if you don't ask
nicely, right?  :-P
