What type of pain am I in for if I abort the uninstaller at this point?

Depends on which parts of CF you have installed. If it is just the core,
stop the installer, remove everything from the file system, clean out
the HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ColdFusion stuff and remove
every ISAPI filter and extension from IIS. Then clean out your temp file
directory, restart and reinstall.
If you have ODBC or .NET installed you probably want to install those
first, but I don't have instructions for that at hand.

RE: Uninstall CFMX 7 from Vista?

2007-05-03 Thread Dave Watts
I am trying to uninstall CFMX 7 from my Vista workstation and
I am getting an error that I don't have permission. I have
tried doing this using the Admin account as well as disabling
user access controls and I still get the permissions error.
Has anybody tried this before or can you offer any suggestions?

I haven't tried to do this, myself. Did you change directory permissions on
the CF directory?

Have you tried a manual uninstall?

2007-05-03 Thread Jeff Chastain
I was able to follow the manual un-install process (didn't find that one in an
Adobe search), so hopefully that got everything. I love messing around in the
guts of Windows.

Thanks

RE: Uninstall CF Hotfix?

2006-03-23 Thread Dave Watts
Anyone know how to uninstall a hotfix on CF 7? Hopefully
 without reinstalling cf...

Most hotfixes are just JAR files that get put in the appropriate place
(\cfusionmx7\lib,
\jrun4\servers\cfusion\cfusion-ear\cfusion-war\WEB-INF\cfusion\lib).
Uninstalling the hotfix should be a simple matter of removing or deleting
the new JAR file.

If you're talking about a hotfix that you installed via the CF Admin,
the exact location of the file will be /WEB-INF/cfusion/lib/updates
for a CF 7 installation. As Dave noted, they are the same jar files
with the same file names that you initially uploaded.

Regards,
Dave.

RE: Uninstall

2002-05-30 Thread John Beynon

I thought it was me...

My problem is that I can't open Add/Remove in control panel. I have to go
into the Registry, find the uninstall key and then run in msiexec from start
 run.

Is this just coincidence?
