I have to say I like seeing MM opening up the beta program like this. The more the merrier at this stage. Once you sign up with CrystalTech you will get an invite from MM to join the beta. Sometimes that might take a day or two. RE: Blackstone: when?
Actually, Blackstone is built on the same base as CFMX 6.1. Think of it as a bug fix upgrade with a lot of new and cool features. This will (or should) remove the fear people have about moving to a new version of CF before the next update. This is the update. This is the next level past 6.1 Yes, there will be many who will still be afraid but let me tell you, it's fantastic. I've been running it on HoF since early beta and it's faster and more stable than 5 by far. How much faster than 6.1 I can't tell but it handles a lot. If you want public docs, look at Ben Forta's blog (http://www.forta.com/blog/) where he's been talking about specific features with code. Also check out the MM site itself (http://www.macromedia.com/software/coldfusion/blackstone/). > MM has been publicly dedicated to backwards compatability so shouldn't > be any syntax changes to run your MX stuff on blackstone. Unless you are on the Blackstone beta, you will not get access to that (and anyone sending you that information will be violating NDA in a very serious manner!). You will get access to whatever docs CrystalTech provide. If you've had to sign a MM NDA, I would expect you to be able to join the MM beta program. Re: Blackstone: when?
MM has been publicly dedicated to backwards compatability so shouldn't be any syntax changes to run your MX stuff on blackstone. That being said I doubt anyone is going to give you the documentation due to NDA stuff...could be wrong though I guess...
