RE: visual tool to display table relationships
Have you tried simply making your relational diagrams with Enterprise Manager. I don't know if you can get much better than that since it comes with SQL server ~Brad -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, October 27, 2006 10:07 AM To: CF-Talk Subject: visual tool to display table relationships I'm so sorry for posting this here, but I know there are a lot of sharp cf programmers that would have an opinion on this question. I'm looking for a free tool that will help to show me my tables and their relationships. RE: visual tool to display table relationships
2 comments. 1st, you can also use MS Visio for this, but I agree that Enterprise Manager's database diagrams are usually adequate (I've never used Visio for this, but I hear it's pretty cool). 2nd, these tools work a lot better if you have primary/foreign key's and with constraints. The tool will look for that and use your constraints to map the DB. -Original Message- From: Brad Wood [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, October 27, 2006 9:10 AM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: visual tool to display table relationships Have you tried simply making your relational diagrams with Enterprise Manager. It worked pretty good... for what I was doing, open source alternatives worked just as good for making a ERD. I think Clay DB modeling or something like that worked ah'aiet (it's an eclipse plugin). ~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:258348 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4
