Re: Viaklix

2006-09-28 Thread Jack Dalaa
Hi Jesse,

We're using Viaklix in a clients ecommerce site, going on about four years now.
Works really well, stable, can handle high volume, low cost etc. Their tech
support is not impressive, but we rarely need them.

Integration is dead simple:

1) Basic CFHTTP Post

2) Simple text response back containing var pairs, for example
"ssl_result_message=APPROVED" if the payment went through etc.

Thanks Larry!... once I get this up and running I'll report back to everyone in
this thread. I really appreciate your help! Here is the site I am adding the
shopping cart to: www.quirkles.com ... let me know if any of you are interested
in any of the books and I'll mail some out to you for helping me through this.
Read them to your own kids or give them away as gifts.

Thanks again,

I just went ahead and grabbed it while I had a second.

This includes several form values that I gather (obviously) before I
come to this .cfm There may be extra # in the code as I coded this when
I was first learning CF.

Re: Viaklix

2006-09-18 Thread Jesse Kuhn
I am looking to use viaklix as well. Has anyone done this successfully yet...
their developers guide only supports asp development. I am putting together my
first shopping cart and am new to CF so if anyone has been able to get viaklix
to work within a coldfusion site and has any recommendations, examples or can
point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

I've emailed their tech department and was responded to with the exact same
crappy form email both times: "Unfortunately we do not support coldfusion
coding. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I ended up calling them after the
3rd email and found out that the coldfusion programming language will work with
viaklix, but they just do not have any examples to help you get started.

Thank you very much for any and all replies,

Jesse

It's not one we'd even heard of prior to meeting about it. So, we thought
