[cfaussie] Re: throughput and simultaneous requests
Hi Mark, throughput can be measured in two ways (that i know of) 1. number of pages served per second 2. mb served per sec and simultaneous requests would be the amount of requests in a single second hope this helps, Lucas. I am sitting here listening to the jazz stream from ABC's DIG site and looking at our monitoring I can see 333Kbps streaming into my workstation, not an insignificant amount in itself, many streams and you have serious bandwidth considerations. -- Yours, Kym Kovan mbcomms.net.au --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "cfaussie" group. [cfaussie] Re: OT: Google Chrome - Yet Another Browser to worry about
> Chroming isn't as fun as Firefoxing I think that's probably the point. What's fun for people who work with and/or are interested in computers is generally nothing but a confusing pain in the ass for those who have no interest other than achieving some goal, like booking a flight or checking their email. More often than not, people don't want to customize things and don't want to be bombarded with options - it's the job of a UI designer to use their experience and training to make decisions and IMO, Google have done a pretty good job here.
