Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List The 300 Deluxe was one step up from a 300. The differences include: a grill emblem, the deluxe on the door panels as you mentioned, a chrome strip at the bottom of the car between the front and rear wheels. There are some other differences, but they are just minor. You could pretty much get any option on a 300 but the 396 engine, turbo 400 tranny, and the recesed wipers. I also own one and they are cool. I like the sleeper look. My 300 has ps, pb, air, 327, auto. Actually mosy of the ones that I have seen have had some options, nothing like Power Windows or anything like that, but a/c and ps, pb. Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List Hi, The Chevelle 300 was the stripped down model, it came with basically no options. Think of the models starting with the 300, the next step up was the Malibu, then the SS. I have a 68 300 myself, and I'm in the process of building it up. I have a few Chevelle 300 sites, bookmarked at home.. When I get home (unfortunately I have to work :-) I'll send them out to the list.. Nothing that has caused an emergency, but I don't like watching the temp gauge slowly start to climb..whatsoever. Anyway, I have noticed no particular difference since I have had it in there. On hot 85+ degree days, sitting at a stoplight, the temp will still slowly begin to creep, and same as before, its almost impossible to bring back down again once driving. So from that, I think its just a bunch of red colored water ;) Next up is to finally get rid of the culprit once and for goodan old/bad radiator. Re: [Chevelle-List] Red Line Water Wetter
Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List I have used the product in several of the trucks that I've built, and I must say that I'm very unhappy with the product. Not only did I not see a decrease in water temp, but it started causing terrible buildup and corrosion in the radiator, hoses, waterpump, and intake. They also have very bad customer service. When I tried to reach them about the problems I was having, it took forever for them to get back to me, and when they did they were very rude and said that I must have done something wrong. Apparently it isn't just me cause now my local parts store has quit carrying the product because of too many complaints. I hope this helps, and it is just my .02 :-) Trevor - Original Message - From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, July 23, 2001 9:23 AM Subject: [Chevelle-List] Red Line Water Wetter > > Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List > > > Has anyone used a product called Red Line Water Wetter in their cars. [Chevelle-List] M-22
I have a dilemma. A friend of mine converted his 69 SS to a 700R and I picked up his just rebuilt M-22 4spd with brand new Hurst Competition Plus linkage (less chrome arm) also with all clutch parts for a price I could not refuse. I would prefer an M-21 for my 65 Malibu. Anyone interested in trading their recently rebuit M-21 with new or near new Hurst Competition Plus linkage (attaching with nuts and not bolts) for my M-22, email me off the list at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Bob A.C.E.S. #1164 T. Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List Hey Mike - This might be like comparing apples and oranges, but I recently had a cat-back system with a Spin Tech crossflow muffler installed on my '88 Cutlass, and I absolutely LOVE the sound. Nice, deep, throaty sound, but not too loud and minimal resonation - and that's with the stock 140hp wheezer 307 engine! I would definitely consider Spin Tech for any future true-dual setups. The interior is beautiful, matter of fact, it looks like nobody has ever sat in it. BUT, It was rear ended and pushed into another car. I've found the trunk lid, rear quarter, front and rear bumpers, hood and grille, but the headlight covers. I don't know what to call them, the pieces that hold the headlights in place and fill the space between the hood and bumper/body insert I can't find anywhere. I just need the drivers side piece. Anybody know what this is called and/or where I can find them? RE: [Chevelle-List] Fwd: [El Camino] really dumb question
Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List I have a 1969 that says el Camino on the front. Note the 1968 and 1969 used a small "e" in el. The earlier 64 & 65 I believe said Chevelle in large letters across the front of the hood. The newer old ones, just had a small piece on the header panel. 1969 El Camino SS 396 http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=974458&a=7149718 A.C.E.S # 4277 Md.
