[Chevelle-List] Al Vogel's '67 El Camino
I've heard back from Al Vogel and might get the rear bumper from his '67. Can anyone (maybe Donnie of Mike) who's actually seen the car comment on the bumper's condition? Re: [Chevelle-List] Cutting front coils
General rule of thumb is 1 coil equals 1" of height. if you are gonna do this, use a saw, do not use a torch or any type of cutting weith fire. it may weaken the coil and become unsafe. Tom

[Chevelle-List] Cutting front coils
While I'm doing my Disc brake conversion, I'm going to cut the front coils to drop the front a little. (1 1/2" -2" max.) I know that when you do this, cutting 1/2 the desired drop off of the springs is the way to do it, but do you just measure vertically 3/4" to 1"? approx. 1/2 a coil? 3/4 coil? I did this back in the 80's to a '71 Monte and it looked great. Just cant remember exactly how much I cut. Or should I just cut a little install and check and cut as necessary? Anyone recently done this? Re: [Chevelle-List] Pics from Bristol... great pics, what camera?
My camera is a Kodak Advantix 4700ix. Trust me when I say it's nothing special. It uses that APS film in the oval canister. I like it because it's very simple to use and the pictures aren't half bad. As for the milk tanker, my wife took that picture. She's better than she thinks! cYa- Herb - Original Message - From: Dave Studly To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, October 24, 2002 5:54 AM Subject: RE: [Chevelle-List] Pics from Bristol... great pics, what camera? I don't normally comment on pics, but great job Herb! The reflection in the milk tanker was cool. I'm also interested to know what kind of camera you're using. -Dave -Original Message-From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Richard M. RE: [Chevelle-List] SBC Cam selection
Yes, Eventually as money permits. Changing the heads, torque converter and gears. Maybe even a TH700-R4. I think we all wish we could afford to do all of the work and changes at the same time. After the cam, the torque converter could be next. (still trying to figure that into the budget and convince the wife) Brian Zack '70 Chevelle Malibu mailto:brianz@;dpsabq.com ...plus Brian has stock heads, a mild torque converter, and highway gears. He could go a lot more aggressive and be fine on the street by changing all of these (and in fact he might just do that over time! > > - > To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html > To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > - To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
