[Chevelle-List] Frame question
I found a rust-free, straight, Arizona frame for a 70 Cutlass 2-door HT for $250.00. The frame is already stripped except for the front sway bar and the fuel/brake lines. I just wanted to make sure that everything is the same as a Chevelle frame so I can put it under my 70SS without any surprises. Can anybody give me a quick note letting me know if the frames are the same. Do they have the same part number so I can verify? Thanks for your help, Steve --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. RE: [Chevelle-List] Frame question
They are the same. In fact, you could use a frame from any GM A-Body coupe (Chevelle, Monte Carlo, Cutlass, GTO, Skylark) from 1968-72. Thanks John and Tom. I'll let the guy know and try to swim out to my car trailerand get it ready to pick up the frame (we got hammered with rain over the past two days, but the sun is out now and everything is starting to dry). Hi Joe! Welcome to the list. I'm doing a frame-off on a 69 Malibu Coupe myself. Contribute when you can when you know the answer to a question, and enjoy, read and learn when you don't. Feel free to ask any question you may have, usually someone will know the answer, and if they don't many times someone will look it up or point you to another reference. Where are you located Joe and what's your current task on the restore job? Doing any modifications and/or improvements or updates to you Malibu? Re: [Chevelle-List] New Member
Wow Great thank you all for the nice welcome Presently I am in the process this weekend of painting the bottom of my car, after which I will do the trunk and then interior floor boards. Hopefully in a week or so I will put the body back onto the frame. I did have a question. In the trunk area where the spatter goes where do I stop painting the spatter paint, half way on the rear fender, the speaker rack? Thanks Joe

Welcome Joe! This is a great list to be on. There are a lot of guys here who know a TON of stuff about Chevelles. I'm always picking their brains about something. Never feel free to add your two cents either. p.s.- just don't ask anyone how to get off the list ;-) Steve -Original Message-From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of John NastaSent: Friday, February 14, 2003 4:50 PMTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]Subject: RE: [Chevelle-List] New Member Welcome to the list Joe. Title: ChevelleStuff is up and running All, I've just started a new website for 64-72 Chevelle/El Camino decoding and general information. Warned you all it was coming and now it's here. Some of you have mentioned that 69 and 70 stuff was gone from Team67 - now you know where it went. Team67 and ChevelleStuff will duplicate a lot of 67 data. All that have sent pics of trim tags and POPs, those are all there now as well. I appreciate the help but I can always use more tags and POPs. Send pics/scans if you have 'em (scans are great for POPs). I'll also be pulling a lot of info stuff off the Dale's Place site and putting it on ChevelleStuff so everything will be centrally located and return Dale's Place to my 67 SS and Elky. If you get a chance, stop by and check it out for me. Works best with IE and 800x600. Don't worry Andre', I plan to take a ton of pictures and video. As for cost, I'm sure it will easily exceed $1000.
