Ok guys, we
have a real saint on the Chevelle List.

A couple of
days ago I emailed John Nasta inquiring about a gas tank for my Elky. He
responded quickly with the info I needed.

Today, I
received an email from John with an eBay link for a new gas tank at nearly half
price! I'm quite sure John knew he would lose a sale by sending me that
link, but he did it anyway! Now that my friends, is a new high in
customer service.

John, next
time I need resto parts, your web page will bethe first place I
look. Thanks.

[Chevelle-List] sanding/priming

2003-02-18 Thread Don Allen

Hi guys, I want to sand and prime my 69 Chevelles body, but this is my
first time attempting anything like this and I could use a little
direction. I have a Black Decker
Sandstorm will this get the job done?
What grit sandpaper should I use?
Should the body be sanded down all the way to the sheet metal, or just
until it is smooth and free of any surface rust? If anyone could please shed some light on these questions by
way of a website or your own experience, I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Don

I sanded my 69 down using 80 grit and a DA sander. If you want to do it right, I suggest taking it down to bare metal. Here is a link to my website, there is a link on there to my 69.
