RE: [Chevelle-list] mice

2005-03-11 Thread Dan Mascheck

I run a large ag chemical and seed facility, and we do have mice and rats
from time to time. Moth balls help, but are not perfect by themselves. We have
tried peanut butter, but apparently we have discerning mice. Juicy fruit gum on
a trap works from time to time, but the best to date have been the sticky or
glue traps laid around the perimeter of the warehouse..again not perfect, but
the best thing we have found to date!

carbs but the center carb came back with shim stock wrapped around the
throttle shaft to fix it. They were supposed to have rebushed all throttle
shafts. Needless to say that is the last dollar ($600.) they will get from

Thanks for the responses guys.
Andre - Have heard of Bo Laws, but I don't have a race car or high RPM

From the factory, the Holley 850 vacuum secondary carburetor that was

throttle shaft. Apparently, the primary throttle shaft does not have the
white Teflon bushings installed. Although the grooves are machined into the
throttle shaft, they do not install the bushings. Instead, relying on a
close fit between the throttle shaft and the base plate of the carb.

My idea of modifications to this carb include :
* installing throttle shaft bushings on the primary side
*4 corner idle circuit
*modify flow boosters

I have absolutely no idea for the carb shop but I know that BLP does
some top notch parts, we had one on each of my buddys alky big blocks in
a super comp dragster and they were great tune.
I had a walk around in their shop and its all top notch.

Looking to have some carb work done. I've read articles about the
Carburator Shop for years in all the major magazines. Apparently, the
owner
Brad Urban (?), died and his wife closed the business. Two guys working
there decided to open another business, and call it the Carb Shop. Just
wondering if anyone on this list have any personal experiences with:
http://www.customcarbs.com/products.shtml before I send my carb off to
them.
Thank you for your time.

I have a 64 ElKy and have a cover that snaps on over the bed. It
matches the interior, black with red thin boarder. Made out of the
vinyl. The bed is sprayed with gray spatter paint.

Hope that helps,
Kelly

I've already got a leather snap-on cover. All it's good for is retaining
dirt and holding water.
Am considering a Gaylord bed cover but the photos on their website are
pretty sorry.

[Chevelle-list] headlights

2005-03-11 Thread mark fellman
So, I get in my car to drive home from work and my lights won't go on,
the parking lamps and tail lights, brakes and reverse lamps all work,
just not the headlamps. Then after fiddling with the switch, none of
the lights work, except for the brake lights. Fuses are all fine. Now
what should I do? I'm guessing it is the headlight switch and it seems
it is easy to get the switch. Now what should I do? Thanks in
advance.
