POR-15 is isocyanate
based. According
to the EPA "Methyl isocyanate is extremely toxic to humans from acute short-term
exposure.  In Bhopal, India, accidental acute inhalation exposure to
methyl isocyanate resulted in the deaths of about 3,800 people and adverse
health effects in greater than 170,000 survivors.  Pulmonary edema was the probable cause of
death in most cases."

It's nasty stuff. It also sticks to skin
really well. Use plenty of ventilation and good gloves.

permits to operate the unit from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and
the Food and Drug Administration in Washington D.C. USA. Be sure
to carefully unpack the kit and place each component in its
accompanying mesh safety bag. Mount the Pershing DF4 mesinator on top
of the perforated Gerring Mach 77 refibulator and attach them using
the eight-millimeter torque fork. Be sure that the refibulator is
mounted at a 66 degree angle and properly dispersed so that it is
flush with the curved section of the Pyrex thistle tube. Place the
four sections of the triangular separation gear into the posture

Insert the wiggling pin into the wobbling hole, making sure that it
seated correctly. Place the D cell battery and the eleven 9 volt

before operation using the optional digital corkscrew accessory pack
prior to operation. Insert the digital corkscrew through the electronic
combustion service chamber using caution not to touch the reinforced

28.6 degrees. Turn the Craft-O-Matic Adjustable Subscription
Cancellation Unit upside down and hit the bottom plate with a 48-ounce
ball-peen hammer while shaking the unit vigorously. Force open the
door to the incineration valve compartment and set the pressure gauge
to 719 psi. Close the door and seal it shut with duct tape. The unit
should now be properly calibrated and ready to use. Before activating
the Craft-O-Matic Adjustable Subscription Cancellation Unit, you must
first elevate it to a height of 229 feet above sea level to insure
that the unit receives the proper oxygen level and barometric
pressure. Point the aerial to 17 degrees north by northeast to within
the parameters of the Telstar GS-2 weather satellite and apply
pressure to the wing shaft on the southern most section of the modular
accelerator. Using the special ratchet adapter supplied with the unit,
rotate the heater core to the "on" position. The "on" position has
been obtained when the green light begins to flash, signifying that
the red light is about to go off. Once the red light is off, flip
the toggle switch labeled "ON/OFF" to the "ON" position and count to
47 before logging on to the system. Logon using your username and
password and wait for the prompt. Once prompted you must check the box
with the appropriate action you wish to take and then press the
pressure release button and turn off the compressor while turning the
hand crank at 231 meters per minute. Next, press control, alt, delete,
caps lock, shift, number lock, escape and tab simultaneously.
Press enter. You will have one second to complete the procedure.

Sometimes it helps to know what year you're working with. On a 67, for example,
not only is the front yoke different, but the driveshaft and how it bolts to
the rear end is different. A 67 TH400 uses two straps where everything else
uses u-bolts for the rear universal to the rear's front yoke.

Re: [Chevelle-list] Mirror ?

2005-07-26 Thread Rick Schaefer
Yes, you can get the glass out in 1 piece, you just need to be
careful. On the front side of the mirror, I rolled back the rubber
gasket. Slid a dull butter type knife between the glass & rubber.
SLOWLY rolled the rubber and followed with the knife around the
perimeter - careful not to cut into the rubber. (Make sense??)

I had my mirror resilvered locally. I went to an Antiques dealer &
asked them who did their mirrors. Turned out to be very cheap to
have it done, I did have to wait a few weeks til he had enough
resilvering to make it worth his time.

The difference I have found is clearly "price" for
one. And the second is so slight, probably not worth
mentioning. The FATMAT product is .080 thick product
where others, when I looked were .060 or .053 thick.
1$ sq ft is a good price point. Butyl composition with
alumin substrate, might be cheaper now. You need a
heat gun and it will stretch and conform better. It's
really good to use heat in a 90 degree garage.

hope this helps.

My tranny guy told me
that my 4L60 ( 700R4 ) would work OK on my 468 but at 600hp it would granade if
I pushed it a few too many times at a stoplight.  My tires weren't sticky
so they took the strain off the tranny and just caught fire a
lot.  Had they grabbed, I might have been pulling tranny parts from my
backside.   Seems anything after 450 hp gets iffy on a stock or mildly
beefed box.  But with 4:10's I did like the lock up overdrive.
Sounded strange but it felt and sounded like a 5 speed automatic.
There are tranny guys like Phoenix or Bow Tie that can build them to
take 600+ for a few thou. or less - no E so no computer.   Had I
kept my '68, Santa would have delivered a new box this year ( trade in my 4L60
if it was still in one piece).  But alas..

Re: [Chevelle-list] New seats

2005-07-26 Thread Trooper
Clint,

I did two nice coats including the seat back and package tray with less
than 1 quart. That's for a 69 coupe.
A tip on using this stuff:
Buy a quart but don't open the lid. Shake it to get it mixed up then take an
awl and punch a hole in the bottom at the edge of the can. Squeeze out what
you need by pumping the sides of the can. When your done, use RTV to seal
the hole. I've been able to keep the stuff fresh for years using this
method. If you open the lid, the stuff will go bad in a month or two.

To unsubscribe from this service you must first
purchase a
Craft-O-Matic Adjustable Subscription Cancellation
Unit. The unit can be
obtained from most hardware stores and dental clinics.
Be sure to obtain the proper permits to operate the
unit from the
Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Food and Drug
Administration in
Washington D.C. USA.
Be sure to carefully unpack the kit and place each
component in its
accompanying mesh safety bag.
Mount the Pershing DF4 mesinator on top of the
perforated Gerring Mach
77 refibulator and attach them using the
eight-millimeter torque fork.
Be sure that the refibulator is mounted at a 66 degree
angle and
properly dispersed so that it is flush with the curved
section of the
Pyrex thistle tube.
Place the four sections of the triangular separation
gear into the
posture cylinder and lock them into place using the
band aid adhesive strip.
Insert the wiggling pin into the wobbling hole, making
sure that it
seated correctly.
Place the D cell battery and the eleven 9 volt
batteries in the power
chamber.
The device should be calibrated before operation using
the optional
digital corkscrew accessory pack prior to operation.
Insert the digital corkscrew through the electronic
combustion service
chamber using caution not to touch the reinforced
tungsten igniter
control module and quickly turn the inverter drive to
28.6 degrees.
Turn the Craft-O-Matic Adjustable Subscription
Cancellation Unit upside
down and hit the bottom plate with a 48-ounce
ball-peen hammer while
shaking the unit vigorously.
Force open the door to the incineration valve
compartment and set the
pressure gauge to 719 psi.
Close the door and seal it shut with duct tape.
The unit should now be properly calibrated and ready
to use.
Before activating the Craft-O-Matic Adjustable
Subscription
Cancellation Unit, you must first elevate it to a
height of 229 feet
above sea level to insure that the unit receives the
proper oxygen level
and barometric pressure.
Point the aerial to 17 degrees north by northeast to
within the
parameters of the Telstar GS-2 weather satellite and
apply pressure to
the wing shaft on the southern most section of the
modular accelerator.
Using the special ratchet adapter supplied with the
unit, rotate the
heater core to the "on" position. The "on" position
has been obtained
when the green light begins to flash, signifying that
the red light is
about to go off.
Once the red light is off, flip the toggle switch
labeled "ON/OFF" to
the "ON" position and count to 47 before logging on to
the system.
Logon using your username and password and wait for
the prompt.
Once prompted you must check the box with the
appropriate action you
wish to take and then press the pressure release
button and turn off the
compressor while turning the hand crank at 231 meters
per minute.
Next, press control, alt, delete, caps lock, shift,
number lock, escape
and tab simultaneously.
Press enter. You will have one second to complete the
procedure.
If you fail to respond in the time limit allowed,

Hey guys,

I finally have gotten around to building my 396 and
putting in a TH400.  (I get a nice discount with Advance Auto Parts)  What I was
wondering is what tail length I need on the TH400 to fit the original
driveshaft or do I have to do work to the driveshaft no matter what?  If I have
to do work then what size is preferred?  Thanks again -RJ

I doubt that FatMat is better than Dynamat. Cheaper maybe but not any
better. Besides that,FatMat is kinda hard to get since the people that make
& sell it won't answer or return a phone call. Email, either.

Re: [Chevelle-list] Window Channel felt

2005-07-26 Thread mike f
I have the same problem, David on my 67. I have thus
far purchased "2 times" replacment run channel
felt/rubber and it simply not the right part. Now,
what I am doing is to go to Joann's fabric and
purchase 6 yards of 2 inch wide "sewn in"
velcro. Thrrow away the hooks side and take the felt
side to someone who can sew the two pieces together
with a thin backing material in a cross stitch.

Like I said, it's been disappointing to me and I have
not said anything to the vendors I purchased the
products from.
