Hello, I'm glad that you're interested in my car. The car is street legal and
accurate. It comes with all the documents needed for registration, it has a
clear title and it can be registred into your name at any time. I am willing to
sell it for $4500.This buy now price does include the shipping and insurance
fees. I'm located in Plano,TX and the car is here as well and so this is where
the car will be shipped from. I've done some research and the best and fastest
way I can ship it is using Hemisphere cargo Shipping Ltd which takes between 4
to 6 days to arrive at your door (door to door handling and shipping insurance
fee included). I am affiliated with Yahoo! Finance where I have a purchase
protection account for $ 10,000.00. This service allows us to complete this
transaction in a manner that is quick and safe for both of us. It acts as a
third party between seller and buyer to insure that both parties comply to
transaction requirements and provides dispute resolution and mediation between
parties. Yahoo! Finance is responsible to insure that both parties comply to
transaction requirements. If this is ok with you please reply with your

Since the $4500 includes the shipping charges I'm sure the seller
wouldn't mind if you picked it up in person; after all, she still
receives the same amount of money. I wonder what her reaction
would be if you suggested that... ;^)

Re: [Chevelle-list] Fwd: chevelle scam

2007-12-20 Thread Randy S Johnson
There are very similar scams off e-bay for chevelles. To me anytime they
magically are going to throw in shipping to your door for free something
odd is going on. You just need to pay them up front and wait a few days
then a car will show up. nothing strange about that at
all. I highly doubt these people are real or even in the United States. I
have a feeling if anyone answers they will strangely sound like they are
not from Plano Texas.

Your response is worded fairly well which is surprising. The one I got
off e-bay was amusing. I inquired about a 70 chevelle as well. The
response I had was, My brother left to fight the war in Iraq and left it
with me and he asked me to sell it. I would love to keep it but I'm
afraid I might dump it over.
Obviously they got it mixed up with a motorcycle scam they are also
running. Be careful out there!

You would think the FBI could get involved with this sort of thing as state
lines are crossed. I would ask for an address and see what happens. If you
google the 434 number you see this car advertised in MD, Ky and about 10 other
states.

RE: chevelle
Hello,
I'm glad that you're interested in my car. The car is street legal and
accurate. It comes with all the documents needed for registration, it has
a clear title and it can be registred into your name at any time. I am
willing to sell it for $4500.This buy now price does include the shipping
and insurance fees. I'm located in Plano,TX and the car is here as well
and so this is where the car will be shipped from. I've done some research
and the best and fastest way I can ship it is using Hemisphere cargo
Shipping Ltd which takes between 4 to 6 days to arrive at your door (door
to door handling and shipping insurance fee included). I am affiliated
with Yahoo! Finance where I have a purchase protection account for $
10,000.00. This service allows us to complete this transaction in a manner
that is quick and safe for both of us. It acts as a third party between
seller and buyer to insure that both parties comply to transaction
requirements and provides dispute resolution and mediation between
parties. Yahoo! Finance is responsible to insure that both parties comply
to transaction requirements. If this is ok with you please reply with your
complete name, address and shipping address in your next email and let me
know if you are interested in knowing more details about this purchase so
that I can open a transaction case at Yahoo! Finance and move forward with
this deal.
Thank you,

Re: [Chevelle-list] Fwd: Chevelle scam

2007-12-20 Thread Daniel Mascheck
I had a 64 Chevelle I won on Ebay that was for $5900 including shipping. He
wanted me to send the money via Western Union to some woman in Florida to
hold until the transaction was complete. The story is the guy was from Deer
Park, TX which is outside of Houston, and only 50 miles away. He was
supposedly moved to Canada by his company and the Canadian registration was
too high! When it looks too good it is!

He sent an official Ebay looking document and talked about the 20 grand
security. It was a well done deal. I sent a copy to Ebay to confirm and it
was A SCAM! I even told him I would fly to Canada to meet him and hand him
cash for the title! I never head a thing from him and forwarded all the
email from him to Ebay. My son did a trace on his email address and it
bounced from Washington to New York to New Guinea.

Learn from me, if they don't want to talk to you in person, be careful!! I
have my money and he has nothing!!

i am fowarding the reply i received from the scam parson with the
chevelle,

Since the $4500 includes the shipping charges I'm sure the seller
wouldn't mind if you picked it up in person; after all, she still
receives the same amount of money. I wonder what her reaction
would be if you suggested that... ;^)

Just a Heads UP.

There is no such thing as Yahoo! Finance. Also, there is no such company as

You can ask Ebay if the owner doesn't contact you and they will give you his
name and phone number. I did, and the number worked, but my deal was a SCAM
on a 64!

Mike- Regarding your 283, it's worth approximately scrap weight. 350s are
dirt cheap these days, and it won't be numbers matching in anybody's car but
yours. You may find some rat rodder who likes it because it honestly is a
283, not a 350 dressed up to look like one. I like them myself, I have 2 in
my shed but I don't expect to be able to sell them for anything. Built
properly they can be wound to the moon just for fun.

I am thinking of selling the original 283 from my 67 car. It has 35,523 mi
on the clock. Is it worth anything? Also, I have a 96 Corvette reverse-flow
LT1 long block with about less than 1000 miles on it. It was pulled from a
car under warranty for a vibration and they found out the motor was not the
problem. Oops!

I have a new water pump, A/F car oil pan, and LT4 carburated manifold. No
Fuel Injection stuff though. What is that worth? Any thoughts?

thanks
