Suggestions? Yeah try someone besides Ecklers. If you are selling parts for
restoring of cars, you would think they as a seller of restoration parts could
come up with a better idea than "fabricate some brackets.

I agree 100% what is with the junk they reproduce these days? does anything
fit? I just helped a friend put a 350 into his Camaro- and the only thing he
added was headers, what a mess!!! none of the brackets fit that he had bought,
we spent most of the day fabricating new brackets for the alternator which
would not adjust with this "new" bracket and the pulleys would not line up!!! I
remember someone on the list saying it did not matter where you bought parts,
they all came from the same manufacturer-- so this is not true?

I think you should do a compression test first. It might be a blown head
gasket.

on my elcamino small block when i first start it in the spring, i pull the
plugs and shoot a little oil in the cyls and then crank it over-until i get oil
pressure. i notice that cyls 3-5-6 squirt out a little anti-freeze, not much
maybe a tablespoon full. during the season i do not notice the coolant level
drop or any white smoking- someone said i should reseal the back 2- bolts on
the intake?

  thanks for the help
