Re: [Chevelle-List] 327 motor mounts

2002-04-10 Thread pablo

Thanks Bob,
I tried their site and the catalog won't load correctly. I called and was
told they are reproductions. I may have to go their way. What kind of
mounts are these folks with BB's and tons of horsepower using and where are
they purchasing them. I find it hard to imagine that they are using the
simple metal frame mounts that were stock, that I am seeing.

2002-04-10 Thread Bob

Paul,
Modern Chevrolet in NC has the following listed in their Classic Muscle
Catalog:

Frame Bracket 64-67 SB - LH/RH Set (correct) PN 38407556 $99.95 set

Give them a call at 1-800-722-4828.

I've used them before, and have had no problems, and in their catalog they
list some parts that I have not seen anywhere else.

RE: [Chevelle-List] 327 motor mounts

2002-04-09 Thread Dave Studly

Paul,

Did you try a couple of your local Chevy dealers? I'd try the bigger and/or
older dealers first, and then maybe a place like Scoggy-Dicken, or one of
the other GM outlets for the crate engines. You said you called some-- I'm
not sure if you called GM places or not.

The engine mounts (not frame mounts) should be pretty easy to find. I
bought some for my '70 and '72 at the local parts stores. I can find the
part numbers, if you wish. Let me know.

on this list is bound to have one( Manual ).I went to AutoZone today and they
didn't have 69 chevelle motor mounts in there computer or their books, just like
NAPA...the earliest date was a 70 chevelle,so I got those.Should be the same

Hi Brad,

Thanks

I looked at that site. They said to measure my mounts to determine which
replacement mounts I needed. I can't do that because I am not looking to
replace mounts, I am looking to find the correct mounts for the 327 and
frame ( as well as the transmission hardware). Then it also says on their
site that "two are required". I am think "four" . Two for the frame, and
two for the block. What am I missing ? overday.
