Re: [Chevelle-list] 327 engine problems
-- Original message -- From: Russ Miesner [EMAIL PROTECTED] My nephew recently built a 72 shortbed 4X4 pickup. He put a 327 engine in it with some 305 heads to raise compression. I do not know any details about the engine build other than that. He called me and said his radiator hose is swelling up the size of a softball. He claims he is not overheating. I am sure the 327 is a Gen 1 and the heads are probably a Gen 2. Is there any Upper or lower hose? Just a WAG but is it possible he managed to put the thermostat in backwards? Brad
[Chevelle-list] 327 engine problems
My nephew recently built a 72 shortbed 4X4 pickup. Is there any interference with this combo. Could some of the waterjacket ports not line up? Any suggestions would be appreciated. He is understandably down in the dumps.
