[Chevelle-list] CB06 Room Reservations

2006-05-25 Thread Al Hembd

Re: CB06 Room Reservations

I am sorry to say but I will not be going to the CB06 this year the 496
broke my budget for the trip down there. So I will be giving up my room at
the Best Western Fairwinds Inn it is for Thursday through Sunday that is
leaving on Sunday. If you do not have a room yet I would be more then
Happy

to turn it over to you just email me and I will give you the info. First
come first serve. The 496 should be done this week 2 weeks late I hope at
least.
The plan is to go for sure next year. Every body have a good time that is
going.

Cracker Barrel sounds good for dinner. We may be able to leave a
message at the desk as to what time to meet there. After all we do have to check
in. Like I said in my first post I should be arriving around 2 in the afternoon,
barring anything happening on the road there.

Thursday afternoon & evening is the drag races, Friday afternoon
& evening is the cruise, Saturday evening the Cajuns will be cookin'
up somethin' good at the Best Western, so looks like Wednesday is our
best shot.  I'll guarantee you that there ain't no way to get
everybody in one place at one time, so we'll just have to do the best we
can.

Les,

I have a room reserved at the Comfort Suites in
Goodlettsville, TN that I won't be using because we'll have just moved
into our new house in Hurricane WV and won't be able to
attend!   With that said, call them, they still have a few
rooms available, especially after I cancel my
reservation.

The first time we went to CB we stayed at this hotel.  It
was nice, clean, close to the park, and decent
price.

OK, You talked me into it Dale. Where are you staying
and when are you getting there. I was thinking, if I can get a room, of getting
there Wednesday.

Has the latest issue of Chevelle World come out yet with the
registration for CB06? Been toying with the idea to try and make it this
year but I haven't seen the registration form yet or have I missed it. As
for a room I don't know if I can get reservations or not and I don't want to
tie up a room that someone else could use if I don't
go.

The latest issue of CW has been in the mail now for about three weeks, John.  And we've been getting registrations every day.  Perhaps the effects of the hurricane have slowed down mail service in Louisiana, because I've received the same comment from others living in LA, too.  Rooms should be no problem, as there are plenty of other hotels within 10-15 minutes of the event, in case all the rooms are taken at the hotels at exit 97.  If you don't wanna wait 'til you get your magazine, you can go here to print a copy of the registration form:  http://www.chevelles.net/mcc/cb06.htm    MUST BE AN ACES MEMBER TO REGISTER!

Hope to see you and your Chevelle at CB'06, John!

Chuck

It's pretty much like any other Red Roof in layout and design.  Fairly economical lodging that's really close to the rest of the evening activities in the parking lots of the other hotels.  Property is about 15 years old, so not a brand-spankin' new building, but I understand rooms are clean and showers are hot.
