That's what they say John.. that the Guide is more common.. but I have owned Nine 64/66 Cars/ El Caminos and have three on the patch now and they all were BPC switches.. Even the spare floor shift column I have is a BPC unit. ?? Re: [Chevelle-list] FW: help needed w/a part #
My column is in the basement. An original '66 Malibu. I checked and the part numbers are the same. Also, where the turn signal lever screws to the switch it is stamped with "066". I don't know if that means it's a 1966 or a mold number. --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > This is what I found: > > 1964-66 Chevelle models except those with a tilt > wheel. > 1966 Chevy II Nova models. > 1964-66 Cutlass F85 models execpt those with a tilt > wheel. > Replaces GM part # 5957063 please look and compare > your old turn signal cam before ordering > > > > > From: "Herb Lumpp" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Date: 2005/03/24 Thu PM 09:36:37 EST > > To: "Chevelle List" > > Subject: [Chevelle-list] FW: help needed w/a part > # > > > > Can anyone help Jim Brady? > > > > > > -Original Message- > > From: J. This is what I found: 1964-66 Chevelle models except those with a tilt wheel. 1966 Chevy II Nova models. 1964-66 Cutlass F85 models execpt those with a tilt wheel. Replaces GM part # 5957063 please look and compare your old turn signal cam before ordering > > From: "Herb Lumpp" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: 2005/03/24 Thu PM 09:36:37 EST > To: "Chevelle List" > Subject: [Chevelle-list] FW: help needed w/a part # > > Can anyone help Jim Brady? > > > -Original Message- > From: J. RE: [Chevelle-list] FW: help needed w/a part #
My GM parts book shows the 5957063 (group 2.895) as 64-66 Chevelle (exc. Tilt wheel) and 66 Chevy (Nova type) but I think that's listed as "PLATE, actuating" ($0.97) according to the book. The actual switch is shown as 387115 at $10.00. Don't find the other number, 386780, but that's not unusual as numbers change all the time. Book says 64-66 Chevelle (exc. Tilt wheel) cam is 382931 (group 2.896) ($0.56). All prices are 1972 of course :*) Dale McIntosh -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Herb Lumpp Sent: Thursday, March 24, 2005 8:37 PM To: Chevelle List Subject: [Chevelle-list] FW: help needed w/a part # Can anyone help Jim Brady? -Original Message- From: J.
