Re: [Chevelle-list] spark plug wires -Now Valve Covers
I have a 67 Malibu, with a 396, 350 Turbo, power steering and no A/C (yet). Can you guys recommend what set of headers I should use? The current set in my car are all rusty and ball peened so theplug wires don't touch. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would suggest Dougs...But I personally have Hooker Super Comp on my 66 with a 454. No problems with plug wires touching. They fit great!

Jim, Thanks for the kudos. The air cleaner is a combination of a drop down base, a 14x2.5 inch KN Filtercharger, and the top is a KN X-stream filter top that is supposed to add 500+ cfm of airflow. I had to go with this combination to overcome my clearance issue in my 66 brought on by the use of the Edelbrock Performer RPM Airgap intake. Re: [Chevelle-list] Spark plug wires
Dennis, I bought those at www.summitracing.com The part number for mine is RNM-1102P. If you do a search with just RNM- in the search box, you will see them all. They come in polished, red or blue for all kinds of applications. To install, you just back out two of your valve cover bolts, match up the holes and put the bolts back in. It costs around $40. Re: [Chevelle-list] Spark plug wires
I'll second the vote for MSD as a company. I had an MSD6 unit in my Corvette and the coil died. I replaced the coil from an auto parts store, but it was the wrong kind and messed up the control box. I was on a road trip (that's why I got the wrong coil), and ended up buying a new MSD6 box and coil once I got to a real city with a speed shop. When I got home, I boxed up the bad controller and sent it to MSD for repair. They sent it back with no charge for the repair.
