Re: [Chevelle-list] Tricks or Tips?
When I was in high school I had a 53 Stude with a 389 Pontiac w/ tri-power and isky cam. It sounded BAD, then one night I raised the hood and it looked like a xmas tree around the wires. They were too close. I adjusted the wires and the idle didn't sound BAD anymore. Smoothed right out. That was in 1964 and I raced at Fremont and went 13.70 and 105. Those were the days. I sent the car to the junk yard. Larry Williams John Nasta wrote: Here's a tip. Be sure to open your hood in the dark every once in a while. Re: [Chevelle-list] Tricks or Tips?
I've used the gasket hole punches before. Bought a cheap set at Harbor Freight. You can heat them with a propane torch burn clean, round holes through the fabric. You will have to know where the hole goes first. BillL At 04:50 PM 1/27/2006, you wrote: I need to drill holes in the carpet and floorpan to relocate seat tracks.
